Welcome back Pastor David Eric Carlson and wife Jerry. Today we celebrated the life of Delores "De De" Friis, Effie's sister. Pastor Carlson joined Pastor Kellen V. Lewis in the Funeral church service for De De.
Yes, that's our own Miss Sol in the picture too 😉 There were many other visitors today from over the years at Bethany Church and it was fun to reminisce as we honored dear DeDe.

Recently our whole Riverside Church had pictures taken. We've had them enlarged and laminated. They are now initially installed together on our biggest bulletin board in the main hall. Thank you to Suong from Lao Fellowship for taking these professional quality pictures. The pictures are: All Church Unity with all three Fellowships, English, Lao and Chinese Fellowships and a separate Riverside Church Leadership Team from all Fellowships. Note the special Riverside Church logo shirts we are all wearing. UNITY is God inspired with love and respect for each other as we all worship the same God, in the same church teaching from the same Bible.

I did an Outreach Hour this afternoon in front of Riverside Church passing out water to a dozen people and two big dogs 😉 It was a little over 80 degrees and the water was appreciated. It's meant to minister comfort and relief because we care about people. Occasionally, but not today, these water stops go so far as discussions about "Living Water " as Jesus describes what he has to offer in the Book of John. And there are the verses about "I was thirsty and you gave me drink and I was hungry and you gave me something to eat". So come and join us next Thursday from 2:30 to 3:30 PM. We have water to give away and a pop-up awning for shade 😎
