Hungars Cure - Hungars and Christ Church

Hungars Cure - Hungars and Christ Church Hungars Cure or Hungars Parish consists of two Episcopal churches. Christ Church in Eastville, VA and Hungars Church in Machipongo.

Both are historic churches, Hungars founded in 1623, Christ in 1828. Services at Hungars begin at 9:30 and 11:15 at Christ.

At the close of the Maundy Thursday liturgy, the altar is stripped.

It is a sign of Christ’s abandonment and the desolation of the cross.

“Were you there when they crucified my Lord?”

Good Friday services tomorrow. 10:00am at Christ Church and 12:00pm at Hungars.
