We’re excited to welcome Scott Gayer as the next Associate Pastor at The Well Longmont! 🎉

Scott, his wife Corinn, and their children Lily and Graham will be joining our church family beginning August 16. Scott brings over 15 years of ministry experience and has most recently served as Worship & Arts Pastor at The Well Boulder. We’re grateful for his heart for people, love for Jesus, and passion for serving the church.

As we celebrate Scott’s arrival, please also continue praying for Pastor Josh and his family as they prepare to plant Restoration Church, and for our friends at The Well Boulder during this transition.

Join us in giving the Gayer family a warm welcome! 🙌

Bahamas team update—Day 3

Today we met the Ranfurly kids! It was cool to see how they warmed up to us from making no eye contact and quietly saying their names to joking around and laughing with us for the rest of the day. We played some ice breaker games, had them teach us how they play volleyball (very chaotic - very fun), did the “deaf/blind/mute” baking challenge which resulted in lots of laughs and surprisingly good tasting food, made metal can art and paintings, made lunch for the kids, and spent lots of time connecting and getting to know them. Near the end of the day, we handed out the Bibles to the kids with their names on them, and Molly and Will introduced them to the layout of the Bible and how to use the different features before jumping into the Word. We went over Genesis 1 and the creation of the world. Some of the kids read aloud and a couple of them acted out Adam & Eve eating the fruit and God coming to them in the garden. Tomorrow, Molly and Will are planning to take us through what the Fall meant for humanity, but the hope we have through redemption.

Thank you for your continued prayers as we continue to pour into these kids and show the love of Christ!

Join us this Sunday at Sunday at 10 AM, as we begin our series on the book of Esther.
About this series:
How are we to live as Christians in a pagan land? What do we do when our situations seem absolutely hopeless? Where is God in the midst of these circumstances? The Book of Esther shows us the answers to these questions. It shows God’s people that they are to trust that God is working and providential over all things. Nothing is outside of His providence. Esther shows us that God can be trusted and that salvation is found in those who risk it all to boldly trust Him.
