Ladies, join us at 8:30 AM Wednesday mornings to study the book of James together this summer! We will be alternating the study with our park meet-ups, and the calendar can be found on the sign-up page.
About the study:
The book of James is much loved for its wisdom and practical instruction on living the Christian life. James, who was the half brother of Jesus, wrote this epistle to teach his readers about walking faithfully with Christ in the midst of life’s struggles.
In this 10-week Bible study for women, Lydia Brownback explores James verse by verse, addressing trials and temptations, the relationship between faith and good works, and choosing the wisdom of God over the wisdom of the world. Written for individuals and groups, each lesson helps women understand how to recognize marks of genuine godliness by faithfully and practically living for Christ. Brownback desires that readers of this study will meditate on Scripture and find a renewed zeal for discipleship and walking closely with the Lord.

We’ve watched these students grow into young men and women who know Christ, serve their church, and live well. What an amazing group this is! We’re thankful for our student leaders who have invested in them so faithfully. May God bless these students as they go out and live virtuously and to make much of Him in all their endeavors. Congratulations, graduates! 🎓

After 70 years of exile, the LORD providentially works to bring His people back to Israel. Their return was marked with various temptations and trials. God’s people would have to rebuild their city and their place of worship. As they are rebuilding, they are faced opposition from outsiders, and sin from within.
As Israel returns to God’s Word, they would have to repent of their old ways and persevere through trials.
Ezra and Nehemiah show us what faith looks like as they trust in the LORD. These books show us how God’s Word is to permeate every aspect of our lives. These books challenge us today to wholeheartedly trust God and faithfully serve Him.

Maundy Thursday

When he had washed their feet and put on his outer garments and resumed his place, he said to them, “Do you understand what I have done to you? 13 You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you. 16 Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant[c] is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

Today was a beautiful way to kick off the new year! We kicked off Sunday School again, we looked at how we are to abide in prayer.
We were also able to pray over the Bolton family as they head into a season of rest.
And Pastor Josh spoke through Romans 12:1-2 and led us to see our need for time in God’s Word. May we be a people that worship the Lord both with our lips and our hearts, fully surrendered to His will.
