On Friday, July 24, YSAs are invited to participate in temple sessions and family history work from 1:00–6:00 PM.

• Make your own temple reservation or walk in
• FamilySearch consultants will be available to help
• Computers and printers will be provided for family history work
• Find and print family names to take to the temple
• And yes—snacks will be provided!

Whether you're experienced with family history or just getting started, there will be people there ready to help.

The Modesto California Temple Open House Dates Have Been Announced!

Wonderful news! The public is invited to tour the Modesto California Temple during its open house from October 16–31, 2026 (excluding Sundays).

Whether you're a lifelong member of the Church or simply curious about temples, this is a rare opportunity to walk through the building before it is dedicated and learn more about its purpose.

Key Dates:
✨ Public Open House: October 16–31, 2026 (excluding Sundays)
📰 Media Day: October 13
🤝 Invited Guest Tours: October 14–15
⛪ Temple Dedication: November 22, 2026

Temples are places of peace, hope, and worship, and many people travel great distances to experience an open house. If you have family, friends, neighbors, or coworkers who may be interested, this is a wonderful opportunity to invite them.

The public open house for the Modesto California Temple will be held from October 16 through October 31, 2026 (excluding Sundays). The event will begin with a media day on Tuesday, October 13, followed by two days of tours for invited guests. Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will preside at the dedication on Sunday, November 22, 2026. The dedicatory session will be broadcast to congregations in the temple district. On June 24-25, The Tabernacle at Temple Square will be performing at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. It will be 100 years since they debuted there. You can get tickets online to attend in person, or there will be watch parties across the country. Reach out to your local leaders if you have any questions. 100% of proceeds will go to charities of local organizations such as CARE, Helen Keller Intl, and The Hunger Project, with all donations matched by the Church's Humanitarian Services.
