Our denomination just updated its logo. This was not just for aesthetics, but it was also to represent our essential driving characteristics. Here is how the designer on the team that created it describes it

We all love that the Bible has stories of mess-ups who do great things for God, because it means that you and I despite our mess-ups can do great things. But did you realize that your ability to be fulfill God's calling is also possible in the midst of doubt? And since we all have doubts this is something we should all love and latch ourselves onto. Watch the full sermon for more. The review stops at 5 minutes 30 seconds.

We spent three weeks describing how God gives us power. But so often we waste it. We have the power to change the world, but we allow people to buy that power from us. We sell it to them for a sense of belonging and a quick sense of purpose. We don't go through the difficulty of using our power how God calls us to, instead we cast a vote, drink a beer and hash-tag some stuff. Although these are all okay things, they do not constitute God's calling for us.

Our Story

We love to experience connection.

Connection is demonstrated by a pivotal event in our history. After a failed effort to unite the two similar but separate denominations, two local churches from those separate denominations decided to merge. In Lodi, Poplar and Vine Street churches became one. Differences, instead of breaking us apart, became a source of strength and a demonstration of love. Being brothers and sisters in Christ was deemed more important than everything else. And for 33 years, our church has remained on this trajectory of connection.

The unity that we have received through adoption in Christ is given to all those who were once disconnected from God and from His people. So, we invite all those who are disconnected to be drawn into connection with the God who loves you and His people who welcome you.

Joins as at 11:00 to 12:30 on Saturday as we are drawn into connection. We will worship, we will hear from Scripture and we will engage in relationship with one another.
