This kind of behaviour occurs within our churches and schools and not just amongst our kids. It gets carried over to adulthood. Let us change this practice and break this dysfunction for a healthier loving inclusive environment. Especially for those who claim to be followers of Jesus.

12/16/18 Christmas Blanket making Bee event for the survivors of the Camp Fire.

When I saw on FB that Elizabeth Robeson had an idea to make blankets, gift wrap them and add a Christmas In The Heart book to distribute as presents to families who lost their homes and possessions in the Paradise, CA Camp fires, I knew we had to sponsor and help make this dream an even bigger reality and get the church ladies involved.

Elizabeth advertised this event in Nov. on her Facebook that anyone who wanted to make blankets could make them and send them to the church office for this project. Blankets started to come in the mail from all over the states.
The goal was to collect and deliver 150 blankets to the Salvation Army for distribution by Christmas. I contacted Joanne's Fabrics and they gave us extraordinary discounts for blanket kits. So we went down and purchased 50 kits to make for this event. Elizabeth contacted Pacific Press and they generously donated 150, Christmas In The Heart books to attach to the blankets.

This is what Womens Ministry is all about. Looking for ways to serve others and to spread cheer and love and reach beyond ourselves and walls to show Jesus. We are here to encourage, support and empower every lady to have an individual outreach or ministry for service.

The Christmas Blanket Project for Paradise is on its way!

Thank you to Joann's in Stockton for helping us out!

The ladies' blanket making bee is Sunday morning, December 16 from 10-12:30 in the fellowship hall. All supplies will be provided.

Come join in the fun by spending time making warm fuzzy blankets for families from the Camp Fire to bring them some holiday cheer and show our love.

If you can not make this blanket work bee and want to make one, Joanne's has amazing pre cut kits and sales. You can make one and bring to church any time or mail it if you dont live in the area. If you go to Joanne's in Lodi, tell them thank you for their support.

Bring your scissors and a friend!

Oh, and if you have a favorite holiday snack you would like to share, bring that too. However it is not necessary. We will have light refreshments between all the work!🤗💝

Another wondeful baby shower on May 20th was put on by the English Oaks ladies to celebrate new life growing inside beautiful mama Cara Attride. Baby girl should be here for all to enjoy in July. So happy for mama Cara and daddy Kevin. There were loads of fun games, beautiful decor, lots of gifts and amazing delicious healthy food. Many blessings.
