This past Sunday, Marcie Rahill walked us through the Lord’s Prayer and explored how Jesus gives us a beautiful model for communicating with our Heavenly Father. 💛
To help us put this into practice in our daily lives, we looked at a simple prayer rhythm inspired by the 24-7 Prayer Room ministry and Lectio 365: PRAY.
🕊️ P — Pause
Be still and silent. Breathe slowly, center your heart before the Lord, and begin with a Psalm.
📖 R — Rejoice & Reflect
Rejoice in who God is and reflect on His Word. Let Scripture shape your heart and mind.
🙏 R — Request
Ask God for what you need and pray for the needs of others.
❤️ A — Acknowledge
Recognize God's presence and work in your life as you continue to seek Him.
🙌 Y — Yield
Surrender your plans, desires, and worries to God. Trust Him and submit to His will.
The Lord’s Prayer teaches us to honor God's name, seek His kingdom and will, depend on Him for our daily needs, receive His forgiveness, extend forgiveness to others, and ask for His guidance and protection.
Prayer doesn't have to be complicated. Jesus has given us a model, and we can use simple rhythms like PRAY to help us slow down, turn our hearts toward God, and spend intentional time with Him.
Let's make room to commune and communicate with our Heavenly Father and PRAY! 🙏 Watch the sermon from this past Sunday here: https://www.youtube.com/live/jebSoeV62vM?si=ArtqXThrw5yqdleM
