I discovered Victor Hill Cemetery after the passing of my Father-in-Law Thomas Scott Kelley in mid 2004. He suffered a short battle with stage 4 stomach cancer diagnosed in March and he passed in July.
I really miss having him in my life and having him see his grandchildren grow up.
He became a US Marine after high school and transferred to the Army Reserves in the years that followed. He was deployed to Bosnia as a peacekeeping force with his engineering unit. One of the joys that he had from that deployment was the discount on purchasing a new Harley Davidson Roadbike.
He was an active member of the international brotherhood of electrical workers. One of the hardest working men I have known. He helped with the electrical on the Xcel center in St.Paul and brought me on a behind the scenes tour of the Wild locker room during the construction crew family tour day.
I spent a few seasons deer hunting with him and relatives at his “shack” near Itasca State Park. I cherish these memories and look forward to seeing him again in Heaven’s hallowed hunting grounds.
