HOMECOMEING SUNDAY: AUG. 23RD
Join us this Sunday at 11:00 AM as we celebrate 148 years of ministry in the Liberty and SE Guilford County area. Pastor Derrick will be preaching a message from Matthew 13:31-35, “The Kingdom of Heaven is Like…” We will have a potluck luncheon immediately after our worship service.

On this Day:
On Aug. 13, 1878, a group of 13 believers gathered together in a log schoolhouse after a powerful revival to covenant together to form a church.
After 148 years in this community, God is still transforming lives at Smithwood! We praise our sovereign God for His faithfulness and pray for His continued blessing in the years to come!

📖 Bible Lessons
Then at 6:00 PM, families are invited to join us as the children present the songs they’ve learned! Afterward, stick around for a fun family celebration with:
🌭 Hotdogs & cheesedogs
🥤 Refreshments
🐎FREE Pony Rides
🎉 And more activities for everyone!
Whether your child has been to VBS before or this is their first time, we’d love to have them join us for this one-day western adventure as we learn to trust God in every season of life.
