Experience a powerful musical journey through the history of slavery, resistance, and the quest for freedom. Led by renowned music historian Dr. Kathy Bullock, this inspiring concert features songs sung by enslaved people and abolitionists during the era of the Underground Railroad, thoughtfully restored and arranged for contemporary audiences.

Presented as part of America250 and in celebration of Juneteenth, this special kickoff concert launches the Singing a Journey of Freedom tour at Christ Church Cathedral on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Our new members class, “Welcome to Faith Lutheran,” will meet following the 10 am service on June 7, 14, and 21 at Faith House. We are so proud of our Youth Assistant, Paige Barricklow, for the incredible job she did presenting on the relationship between mentorship, faith, and the importance of listening to and caring for the children in our lives and communities. 💙

Paige’s passion, compassion, and dedication to supporting young people were evident throughout her presentation, and her message made a meaningful impact on everyone who attended. We are grateful for the care and leadership she brings to our youth and community every day.
