Reeds United Methodist Church Journey with us as we learn to love God and love our neighbors. Let us find the heart of God togethe We are Reeds UMC. What does that mean?

To start, we take our heritage and identity seriously. We know that our identity comes from those who have gone before us. We honor the saints of the community, allowing them to be the inspiration for the next generation of church members. Not only do we take our local history seriously, but our Wesleyan heritage also, for it is important to our identity and our story. At Reeds UMC, we follow the

lectionary so that each year we can tell time by the Biblical narrative and allow this story to become the foundation of our lives. We do not live from paycheck to paycheck or holiday to holiday but from Easter to Easter, because we know that our identity comes from the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and without him we are lost as Christians. Since we find our identity in Christ, we live by the power of the Holy Spirit. For this reason we are active within the church walls, participating in Sunday School classes, prayer shawl ministries, and various fellowship groups. Members of this congregation also care about what goes on outside of the church walls, participating in the West Davidson Food Pantry and seeking to help people in the community in their daily interactions. Most of all we seek the heart of God, but not for ourselves only. We seek the heart of God in order to share it with the entire community so that everyone in our community will know what it means to be loved. We are not perfect but moving towards perfection. We invite you on this journey with us. Your participation is welcomed and essential to helping us fulfill our mission.

Bring your latest stitching project and come connect with other stitchers for a cozy, creative gathering! All skill levels are welcome.
