Welcome to Grace Episcopal Church! Our mission is to be a welcoming community of faith guided by the life and teachings of Jesus. All are welcome here!

We have one in-person service on Sunday mornings at 10:30 am. The service is also streamed on Facebook & YouTube. The Mission of Grace Episcopal Church is to be a welcoming community of faith guided by the life and teachings of Jesus. Deeply rooted in the Episcopal Church and its emphasis on life in Christian community, Grace affirms the uniqueness and individuality of each person’s spiritual journey. Here you will find mutual respect and the free exchange of ideas in a nurturing environment. At Grace Church it is safe to think aloud about your faith journey and to hear the stories of other people whose journeys may be similar or quite different.

Grief Share is a free 13 week, Christ-centered grief support group program, open to the community. A new group will begin Tuesday January 5, 2027. Participants will meet on Tuesdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in the church Commons Room.

Each session includes a 30-minute video, followed by small group, discussion. This ministry is co-facilitated by Mary Crump and Pam Harvey. If there are any questions, they will be glad to provide more information.

Today is the feast of Saint Simon and Saint Jude, Apostles.

St. Simon and St. Jude, remembered together on October 28, are two of the least-known apostles, yet tradition has long linked their names and their missionary witness. Both appear in the New Testament lists of the twelve, with Simon distinguished by the title “the Zealot,” though it is unclear whether this referred to his former association with the Jewish Zealot movement or simply his fervent devotion to God’s law. Jude, sometimes called Thaddeus, is remembered in popular devotion as the patron saint of desperate or lost causes. Ancient tradition holds that Simon and Jude carried the gospel to Persia and Armenia, where they were martyred together, their steadfast witness sealed in blood. The church honors them for their faithfulness, zeal, and courage, reminding us that even the least known disciples can bear lasting fruit in God’s mission.

On Sunday, November 1 we will celebrate All Saints Day. During the 10:30 church service, names of loved ones who have recently passed will be read out loud and prayed for.

Please send in the names of family/friends who have passed within the past year to the church office that you would like to have read at these services. Names need to be sent to the church office by tomorrow afternoon - Wednesday 10/28.

Today is the feast of Saint James of Jerusalem.

St. James of Jerusalem, remembered on October 23, is known in scripture as the Lord’s brother—though tradition variously describes him as brother, half-brother, or cousin of Jesus. Converted after the resurrection, James became the first Bishop of Jerusalem and a key leader in the early church. Paul notes that James was granted a special appearance of the risen Christ, and at the Council of Jerusalem he helped guide the church toward welcoming Gentile converts without imposing the full weight of Jewish law. Known as “James the Just,” he lived a life of prayer, simplicity, and holiness, and was deeply revered for his intercession on behalf of his people. His bold witness to Jesus as Messiah, however, provoked opposition, and according to tradition he was thrown from the temple roof and beaten to death for his testimony. Honored as both apostle and martyr, James is remembered for his wisdom, his reconciling spirit, and his steadfast faith unto death.
