Westside Family Church Loving Jesus, Becoming Like Jesus, Sharing Jesus

05/29/2026

What happens when you finally realize your way isn’t working?

Sometimes the breakthrough begins at the end of ourselves. In this conversation, we talk about surrender, rock-bottom moments, and how God often does His greatest work when we stop trying to control everything on our own.

Whether you’ve followed Jesus for years, you’re asking hard questions, or you simply feel stuck in life right now — this episode is for you.

“Not my will, but Yours be done.”

Sometimes the hardest step isn’t finding the way out… it’s admitting our way isn’t working.

So many of us try to carry the weight, fight the battles, and fix the mess on our own — only to end up exhausted, stuck, and searching for peace. But healing begins when surrender does.

Not giving up. Not losing hope.
Just finally saying, “Jesus, I need You to lead me.”

There’s freedom in surrender. There’s strength in letting God carry what you were never meant to carry alone. 🔥

When you don’t know what’s next, you don’t have to have the whole roadmap.
Sometimes God simply asks us to take the next faithful step.

Ask yourself:
• What is in front of me that only I can do?
• What is broken and needs attention?
• What has eternal significance?

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105

Like an oil lamp lighting just a few steps ahead, God often guides us one step at a time. As we stay faithful with what He’s placed in our hands today, He leads us into what’s next tomorrow. 🤍

What does it really mean to stand firm today?

This weekend we begin a brand new series: Stand Firm — The Marks of a Godly Man.

In a world full of confusion and pressure, this series is a call for men to reject passivity, confront the hidden battles within, and step into the strength, courage, and responsibility God has placed on their lives.

This isn’t about perfection.
It’s about direction.
About becoming the kind of man who stands firm in faith, leads with love, and leaves a legacy that lasts.

Sometimes the very thing breaking us down is the thing God wants to use to draw us closer to Him.

A crisis isn’t always the end of the story — sometimes it’s the invitation back to healing, wholeness, and redemption. Whether you’re walking through hardship, struggling silently, or searching for hope, God meets us in the middle of it all.

In the book of Ruth, we see how God used crisis to move people back toward community, restoration, and His presence. And He still does the same today. 🤍

If you’re in a season where things feel heavy or uncertain, know this: God has not forgotten you. There is hope here. There is healing here. And there is a God who still redeems broken stories.

“ The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
