Collaboration Not Competition!
(Long post alert)
One of the saints in attendance for the United 1st Fruit Corporate Prayer on Saturday, May 2nd, uttered and prayed something powerful as we interceded for the local Body of Christ.
"Collaboration not competition!"
Elder Rochelle King Moore
Agreed! There is no room for worldly competition in the Body of Christ! The spirit of competition is not only ugly and ungodly, it is demonic!
It is divisive! It is destructive!
The GODHEAD models unity and collaboration not competition and division.
Remember, it was pride coupled with the spirit of competition that ushered Lucifer's permanent expulsion right out of heaven! This spirit wants to be seen, heard, honored, and exalted above everything and everyone - including God.
The spirit of competition is a sneaky, persistent spirit that is very appealing to the flesh because it feeds and strokes the ego.
Beware! Oftentimes people who are operating in this spirit "know the Word." Remember Satan knew "the Word" too and used it in a twisted manner in an attempt to usurp the authority of "The Living Word" in the wilderness. Mark 4:1-11
It is an addictive and alluring spirit that deceives others - hence the legions of angels that fell from grace with Lucifer. Therefore, we must be very mindful of whom we are connected to, especially in regards to spiritual matters.
One can only imagine, the massive shift, that would occur locally, nationally, and internationally, if the Body of Christ would intentionally practice collaboration by serving, supporting and building up each other. I believe we would begin to experience the grand manifestation of many receiving salvation, miracles, healing and deliverances, on the scale we read about in Acts 2:42-47.
We should embrace diversity in the Body of Christ. However, competition and division should never be co-signed no matter how beautifully packaged!
The Word of God addresses division.
Mark 3:25 If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
This kind of biblical unity supersedes local assembly affiliation, denominations, ethnicity, political persuasion, brand, platforms, personal circles, etc.
Let us all do our individual and collective part(s)to be among those who strive for collaboration over competition.
One Lord. One Faith. One Baptism.
