🇩🇴 DR FIELD UPDATE:

A few days ago, Jim drove up through the mountains to the Puerto Plata area to meet with Dr. Milton to prepare for the first team coming in October.

He met a mom there that Dr. Milton introduced them to, who lost her husband in a moto accident. The lady had three young kids. Their "house" has a lot of hard things going on with it and we have a beautiful team coming down that will be supplying the needs to help make her house have solid concrete walls, cement floors, and wood doors. Right now, many of her partitions and walls are rotted old wood, cardboard, or curtains.

We are very excited for this team to be a part of this and for this beautiful family who has walked a hard road to hopefully be encouraged and feel God's love during this time.

Today is the first day of school in Haiti. We are wishing all of the students a wonderful year.

The Tlucek's have returned home to the DR. If you remember, they were in the US because of Dawn being called up for Jury Duty. She was questioned by the judge and both attorneys, but they decided not to ask her to serve on the jury and was sent home. (yay!)

They visited with as many local supporters as possible and attended doctor visits for all of them. Andrew had the unique opportunity to teach 2 sessions (virtually) for our Dominican partners, CBD's, missions, and discipleship conference. It was well attended, and the students fanned out all around the DR to use what he shared with them. The first weekend, 13 salvations were recorded.

This kind of teaching is just what the CBD asked for from RMI. It is great to meet that need for the CBD.

Haiti Field Update: It was a pleasure to work together to put a roof on Morency church. RMI and Beacon team were joined by the MEBSH Construction Department. This is another organization working under MEBSH. Their specialty is roofing and benches. In Kreyol, there is a saying, "men anpil, chay pa lou". This means many hands make light work.

Haiti Field Update: Today Morency church and Beacon team had a very busy day! We were able to celebrate the last service that will be held without a roof. We also hosted a deacons meeting, kids meeting, and well attended open air service.
