Bolivia is once again suffering due to social and political unrest. For 38 days major roads that supply the cities have been blocked. This is causing big problems with food supplies, availability of much needed medicines, severe shortages of oxygen for hospitals, and many other critical areas. Exports and other activities are either shut down or severely limited causing long term damage to the economy. Prices for food have soared for that which is available. Please pray for a quick solution to the sociopolitical problems the country is facing. Pray for our Bolivian brothers and sisters who are suffering. Pray for the ministry of the Church of God in Bolivia.

While Paul was attending, teaching and preaching at the National Junta, Kattia and others from the Tarija congregation and one from Cochabamba held a vacation Bible School for the children in the area. This was the first event of this kind and we believe it will open doors to reach the families of the community for Christ.

On the Global Strategy prayer calendar for April 1—Bolivia: Lift up missionaries Paul & Kattia Jones as they continue their home assignment, visiting current and potential ministry partners in the U.S. Pray for strength and joy in the midst of long travels; pray that the Lord would raise up support for their ministry in Bolivia. They have recently focused on walking alongside a new work in the southern part of the country and are eager to return and continue to develop the leaders there.

On the Global Strategy prayer calendar for October 2—Latin America: Pray for the InterAmerican convention in Jardín América, Argentina, October 2-5. More than 200 delegates from nearly 20 countries are present for a time of connection, worship, teaching, and prayer. Pray that the Spirit would guide all that is said and done and that it would be a time of great joy and fellowship for all participants.
