Paradigm at Abundant Life | Tuesdays 7 pm

Our mission is to see lives changed by Jesus.

Paradigm is a weekly gathering of Kansas City college and twenty-thirty somethings who have a desire to see Jesus made known throughout the city. Come grab a cup of coffee and enjoy a relaxing environment, hear messages relevant to college and young professionals and build relationships with like-minded young adults after the service!

“He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?”
‭‭Micah‬ ‭6‬:‭8‬‬

Last night we took a deep dive into what this verse means, and how we can practically apply it in our lives. To do justly means to think biblically about our culture, and not culturally about the Bible. Vote justly and advocate for life; don’t apologize for the truth, but be kind about it. To love mercy, we need to remember its source. God first gave us mercy so that we can extend it to others. You cannot love mercy if you do not know mercy. Finally, walk humbly with our God. Humility is not just something you think, but something you do. Admit that there is a God who is bigger than you, and simply do what He says. How can you do justly, love mercifully, and walk humbly with God this week? How are you using your faith?

Last week at Paradigm, each of our campus pastors preached about the importance of biblical community.

In Mark 2, a paralyzed man was carried to Jesus by four friends. Each one carried a corner of the mat he was lying on. When Jesus saw their faith, He healed him.

Who in your life is carrying your four corners?

We all need people who will show up, pray for us, encourage us, and help carry us to Jesus when life feels heavy.

This past Tuesday night, we had live preaching at each Paradigm location that followed one message: we were never meant to follow Jesus alone! 🤍

Biblical community is more than simply being around other believers. It’s doing life together, encouraging one another, carrying each other’s burdens, and continually pointing one another back to Jesus.

God designed us to grow in community, be known in community, and pursue Him together.

Last night, Pastor Chad brought us into a brand new series, all about what Paradigm represents.

John 20 and 21 show us how the Lord can bring transformation to anyone’s life, if we only accept the invitation. These verses show us how Mary Magdalene was transformed from having demons, how Thomas was transformed from doubting his faith, and how Peter was transformed from denying Jesus. Just as God did a new work in each of these people, He can do in you. God is not afraid of our questions or deconstruction, but wants us to find the answers we need in order to be transformed by Him. When you accept God’s forgiveness and a future with Him, then He can use you and give you a mission to advance His kingdom.

Three campuses, one family, and such an AMAZING night together. From worship and testimonies to good food, line dancing, and simply getting to enjoy community!
Courtyard Night definitely was one for the books! 🙌

And the best part? It’s Tuesday, so we get to gather AGAIN tonight! 🥳 God is doing something special in this community, and we love getting to be a part of it together.
