Meet The Staff.....

Spotlight: Peter Greenspan

The correct title for this one of a kind volunteer is Dr. Peter Greenspan OBGYN.
Dr. Greenspan is our resident PowerPoint guru. He comes in early every Monday night and powers up the screens so we can have visuals with the lecture. If you don’t know the words to the opening song no problem, the good Doctor has you covered!
Peter, married and father of four kids has been in BSF for 19 years, 10 of those years he served on staff as the Assistant Class Administrator and the rest as a member....and of course volunteering countless hours in the sound booth.
If you ever want to know more about the Jewish faith, culture or theology then make an appointment and prepare to be enlightened as he is somewhat of an expert on the subject. He might disagree but that’s just his humility.
In his free time Peter is into Amateur woodworking with an emphasis on amateur (his words not mine), theology and reading. He also enjoys shooting trap.
When I asked the 1975 graduate of the UMKC School of Medicine what he enjoys the most about BSF he said “the commeradre in the groups and the different perspectives and viewpoints of the members” and he loves how God uses the Word to speak to him. I also asked him what his favorite bible verse of all time is and he quoted John 14:6 “Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Meet The Staff.....

Spotlight: Rhett Bouvia

Lights.....Camera......Action!
Rhett Bouvia is the jack of all trades in the sound booth. He volunteers his time as our resident Lighting Technician, after that he assists and backs up the Sound Technician and the Video/Power Point presentation. He's a one stop shop when it comes to Tech. Rhett has been is BSF for 14 years. 7 years in the Childrens Pragram and 7 in the adult program (he pretty much grew up in BSF). He is a 2011 Graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma and currently a Mortgage Loan Consultant for NBKC Bank. When he's not at work you can find him on the golf course, watching Royals Baseball or anything KU but husband to Taylor and new father to Gracelyn takes the lions share of his time.
I asked Rhett what is his favorite part of BSF and he said "participating in small group discussions". When asked what his favorite bible verse is he quoted Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of God's glory"

Spotlight: Roger Fitz

If you ever listen to the sermon online, whether you attend the SDG up north or volunteer in the school program you have been blessed by one of Roger's many talents.
Roger volunteers in the BSF sound booth on Monday nights and records and uploads the sermon to the BSF website and makes it available to authorized users. Roger (an avid Cornhusker Class of 81') is a Systems Engineer by day and enjoys Golf on the weekends. He has been involved in BSF for the last three years and his favorite part is "being around fellow believers, being encouraged and staying in the Word". I asked Roger what his favorite bible verse is and he quoted Romans 8:31 "What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us."
