Corpus Christi Catholic Parish This page will be a source of information about new events taking place at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.

Corpus Christi is a community of over 1400 families who make up the Catholic church in the western part of Lawrence, KS. Our community gathering is the Sunday celebration of the Eucharist. It is this gathering each week that makes sense of all that we do as a community, and all that we do as individuals the rest of the week. Today we celebrate one of the greatest mysteries of our faith, the Holy Trinity. One God in three Persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. One divine unity, perfectly bound in love.

The Father creates, the Son redeems, and the Holy Spirit sanctifies—and together they reveal that God is not solitude, but relationship.

On this beautiful feast, we remember that we are made in the image of this divine communion. Just as the Trinity is one, we are called to live in unity, love, and faith with one another.

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. “No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” (John 15:13).

May Christ, who conquered death, grant these souls eternal rest and welcome them into His heavenly kingdom. We also lift in prayer the families and loved ones who carry both pride and sorrow in their hearts today.

Let us be grateful for the freedoms we enjoy and honor their sacrifice not only in word, but in how we love and serve one another.

Church offices are closed today, May 25, and will reopen on Tuesday, May 26.

Today, we celebrate the powerful moment when the Holy Spirit descended, filling hearts with courage, unity, and purpose. What began as a small gathering became a movement that continues to impact the world today.

Pentecost reminds us that God’s presence lives within us, guiding, strengthening, and empowering us to share love, hope, and truth with others.

May your heart be renewed, your spirit be ignited, and may you walk boldly in faith.

The Ascension of the Lord celebrates Jesus ' return to the Father after completing His earthly mission, revealing the destiny prepared for humanity.

As the disciples watched Him depart, they were called to trust, wait, and prepare for the Holy Spirit.

The Ascension is not an ending, but a beginning, sending the Church into the world to continue Christ’s work. It assures us that Jesus remains with us always, guiding us toward our true home with God.

On this day in 1917, Our Lady appeared to three children in Fátima and asked us to pray the Rosary for peace. Over 100 years later, the message is just as urgent, and just as hopeful!

Today, we thank God for all mothers — those with us and those who have gone before us. We remember mothers who’ve lost children and women who long to be mothers, lifting each of you in prayer.
May you feel God’s love, comfort, and peace, whatever your journey holds.
