This past weekend Brother Roman took some monks and seminarians kayaking at Ohiopyle. It was a good opportunity for fellowship and to experience of the beauty and serenity of God's creation before summer ends and classes begin.

Yesterday, Saint Vincent Archabbey honored Priests with is annual Priests' Day. The day included Mass with Very Rev. Thomas W. Kunz, VG, JCD, General Secretary, Vicar General, and Moderator of the Curia from the Diocese of Pittsburgh as the Celebrant and Homilist followed by a cookout style dinner.

Last week was a busy joyous week at the monastery.

On Friday morning we invested two new novices, Brother Lazarus and Brother Wolfgang.

On Friday Evening, Father Gabriel St. Hilaire, O.S.B., Brother Christian Riley, O.S.B., Brother Casimir Stynchula, O.S.B., and Brother James Manzer, O.S.B. made their first profession of vows.

During the same ceremony, Brother Irenaeus Nguyen, O.S.B., Brother Kolbe Seibert, O.S.B., Brother Isaac Garcia, O.S.B., and Brother Abraham Reeder, O.S.B. renewed their vows.

Finally, on Saturday, Brother Aidan Sheridan, O.S.B. made his solemn profession of vows.
