Just in time for this chance of rain, Divine Mercy Church was blessed with a generous donation of crushed asphalt which was turned into a short-term use parking lot. This was placed by the City of Laredo Pickleball Courts and extends to the back of our church. We didn't place it where many of you usually park because it is our hope that we will soon go to bids for the construction of a permanent lot there.
You can enter the temporary parking lot via Diamond Drive. This lot is connected to a pathway to the front entrance. Stay dry!

Happy Anniversary to His Excellency, Bishop James A. Tamayo! 50 Years a Priest

Today we celebrate a truly extraordinary milestone in the life of Bishop James A. Tamayo as he marks the 50th Anniversary of his Priestly Ordination.

For five decades, Bishop Tamayo has faithfully answered God’s call, serving the Church with dedication, humility, and a shepherd’s heart. His priesthood has touched countless lives through his leadership, compassion, and unwavering commitment to proclaiming the Gospel and serving the People of God.

Pictured today during the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) Spring Plenary Assembly, Bishop Tamayo is joined by His Excellency Archbishop Gabriel Caccia, Apostolic Nuncio to the United States, who also celebrates his priestly anniversary today.

As we give thanks for Bishop Tamayo’s Golden Jubilee and for the ministry of Archbishop Caccia, we ask the Lord to continue blessing them with wisdom, strength, and abundant grace.

Please join us in offering prayers of gratitude for their faithful service to the Church.
