A Father’s Day Prayer

Heavenly Father, Creator of all and Giver of every good gift, on this Father's Day we lift up all fathers to You—those living and those who have gone before us.

We thank You for the gift of fatherhood, for the men who have embraced this sacred vocation with love, courage, and sacrifice.

Bless all fathers with wisdom like St. Joseph, gentleness like St. Joachim, and steadfast faith like Abraham. May they lead their families with humility and strength, guiding them in truth and love.

For fathers who struggle, feel weary, or carry burdens unseen, grant them Your peace and the support of Your grace. For fathers who are separated from their children, bring reconciliation and healing.
For those who long to be fathers, fill them with hope and the knowledge of Your perfect plan.

Lord, help us to honor our fathers with gratitude and respect. May their hearts be renewed in You today and always, and may they know how deeply they are loved.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Pray for our youth traveling to Irving, Texas for the Steubenville Lone Star conference hosted by LifeTeen. Their trip will include Buc-ee's, Six Flags, and a whole lotta JESUS! San Martin de Porres, pray for us.

Vacation Bible Theme: WHAT A MESS! Life is Messy!
San Martin de Porres’ Vacation Bible is quickly approaching and availability is very limited. This year’s theme: WHAT A MESS! Life is Messy! The camp runs from July 6 - July 10 from 8:30 am - 1:00 pm. The camp is open to children in pre-k4 (already potty trained) to 6th graders. We are also looking for youth (14 +) and adults to help out as camp buddies. Last day to register is June 29th. If interested you may stop by the San Martin de Porres Religious Education Office (1704 Sandman, north side of the main parking lot) or call 956-725-2440 for more info. We have a week full of fun and messy activities set up.

Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus: You know the longings of our hearts, and you desire that we enjoy friendship with you. From your pierced side, you have poured out the wellspring of life, for which we thirst. Your heart burns with a love for all people to return to a right relationship with you.

We celebrate the abundant gifts you have given this nation, founded on the self-evident truths that our Creator has endowed all people with the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We make reparation for the offenses against you and against human dignity that have taken place in this nation.

May our hearts be united to yours, so that our families and communities enjoy peace and happiness; may broken relationships be reconciled, injustices repaired, and the wounds of our land be healed. May your holy Catholic Church serve as a sign, pointing all people to your infinite love.

O Desire of Nations and Center of History, we ask you to bless these United States of America. Who live and reign with God the Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.

Consecration of the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
June 11, 2026

On June 11, 2026, as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. bishops will consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Parishes around the country are encouraged to join the bishops in celebrating the consecration of our nation to the Sacred Heart. Novena al Sagrado Corazón de Jesús

Este año (2026) se celebra el 250 aniversario de la fundación de nuestra nación. En preparación para este momento histórico, la Conferencia de Obispos Católicos de los Estados Unidos (USCCB) consagrará a los Estados Unidos al Sagrado Corazón de Jesús el 11 de junio.
