Wednesday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Community Meal Thursdays 5:00 PM - 5:30 PM

her our mission to address the physical and spiritual needs that exist in our community. We serve thousands of clients each year by offering vital services, at no charge, in a way which extends dignity and respect, to some of the most disadvantaged people in La Porte and the surrounding areas.

Our Weekend Backpack Feeding Program has kicked off for the 2026/2027 school year! This program provides weekend meals to 750 food insecure children at La Porte Community School Corporation every week through the school year.

Many local gardeners are blessed with more produce than they can use this time of year. Instead of letting those extra fruits and vegetables go to waste, consider donating them to The Salvation Army Food Pantry.

Fresh produce is one of the most requested and appreciated items by the families we serve. Your surplus harvest can help a local family stretch their grocery budget a little further.

Donations are accepted at 3240 Monroe Street, Monday and Friday 10am-3pm, and on Wednesday 10am-6pm

These services include life skills classes, budgeting help, financial assistance, finding community resources and so much more. In 2025 throughout the state of Indiana, 292,064 individuals were provided basic social services through The Salvation Army.
