Long after the news media has moved on to their next big story, Convoy of Hope remains to help people and communities rebuild.

Another story of hope from our response ♥️

When the storm overflowed the Swannanoa River in , it left the Free Will Baptist Church in in shambles, flooding the building with mud and water, knocking down walls, and ripping off garage doors. Convoy of Hope reached out to their pastor, Jack Ward, to offer help by ripping out drywall, spraying for mold, and preparing the building for restoration.

"The first time I saw the church after the storm, I had no hope," Pastor Jack said. "I was sure it was going to have to be torn down. After today, I can finally see the light."

Volunteers from the church have been delivering Convoy's relief supplies to provide comfort and meet the ongoing needs of families in their community. You can be a part of the relief efforts in North Carolina and around the U.S. at https://h.ope.is/3YCVfRD.

The Body of Christ working to together to meet the needs of hurting people.

After a disaster like strikes, communities come together and bond in unique ways.

Convoy's local church partner in Augusta, Georgia, had a hard time finding space to store Convoy of Hope's relief supplies because their auditorium needed to be used as a storm shelter. Pastor Phil Stanley called other churches in the area and, before he knew it, volunteers and staff rolled up with trailers to load supplies and host their own drive-thru distributions.

In just a few days, thousands of families received a tangible reminder that they're not alone and that people in their own community care for them.
