Please refrain from your Cheech and Chong activities in the cemetery…the deceased don’t care to get second hand. Please and thank you.

Please keep your property destroying kids out and away from Patton Cemetery. If and when caught on camera we will be pressing charges with the city. Please and thank you 🥰

Patton is currently working on establishing the non for profit and scheduling fundraising events for the future.

At this time we are in need of any w**d eating assistance we can get out at the cemetery in preparation for the upcoming holidays.

Patton is also in great need of a new zero turn mower so if you or anyone you know have any leads on a donation or something affordable for the cemetery please don’t hesitate to reach out.

We thank the community for all of their help because with your continued support we are able to continue bringing the beauty back to this historical cemetery!

At this time there will not be a specific “spring clean up” however we are asking that you take care of your personal lots. Just as simple as…discarding Fall and Christmas decor. Everything will be left for Mother’s Day. We thank everyone for their cooperation.

We are aware of graves sinking at Patton. As the weather gets warmer the ground will continue to soften. Please be aware that because of this graves may continue to sink and shift. We are working on getting each and every grave that is sunken taken care of and hoping to have them all topped off with dirt, leveled and seeded by the end of April. We appreciate your patience with us.

Update: thank you to Bethany Lutheran Church!

I cannot thank whoever has made this generous donation to the cemetery enough for their kindness!! We’re hoping these cameras will work some wonders and deter criminal activity from happening in the cemetery.

The cemetery is looking to purchase trail cameras to help monitor activity in the cemetery throughout the day and night. With limiting funding it is difficult to do at this time. We would like to get done sooner rather than later with what seeens to be more and more disrespect happening within the cemetery.

I have put together an Amazon wish list in hopes of gaining some help from the community. If you have any other ideas that we can bring to make improvements to the cemetery please do not hesitate to reach out!

All items can be mailed to Scott or Zoya Harris at 1877 W. Severs Road here in La Porte.

We really cannot thank the community enough for the support we have already been recieiving.

Thank you everyone!

Some lovely civilian chose to dump their used dishwasher out at the cemetery in the back by the dump if any scrappers would like to come to pick up and remove it for us it would be greatly appreciated! Unfortunately there are no places to hook up dishwashers in the cemetery 🙃

Thank you to everyone who helped make my first year as our local coordinator for Wreaths Across America such a success! We laid over 250 wreaths on veterans' graves this last Saturday, and of course, had to stop and give love to our favorite veteran. Special thank you to Haverstock Funeral Home and the American Legion Post 83 for being local sponsors for my first year. If you are interested in being a local sponsor or simply sponsoring wreaths for a veteran please do not hesitate to reach out at 219-362-9671!

Also special shoutout to the VFW of La Porte, Midwest Thrift, and to all of the individuals who donated.
