As I listened to and reflected on this commentary, the passage from Romans 1:18–23, came to my mind: "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For His invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks to Him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things." This commentary points out just how clearly God has shown us that He is the Creator. Soli Deo gloria.

Once again, I recommend that you listen to today's "Briefing," by Albert Mohler and hear a biblical perspective on the news. As I have in the past, I recommend this podcast, along with the "Breakpoint" podcast so that you can hear what you won't hear in the mainstream or legacy media. I also recommend that you follow Dr. Robert Gagnon and Dr. Everett Piper on Facebook or X and hear the news from a biblical perspective.
In today's briefing, please pay close attention to Dr. Mohler's explanation of the word "pride" as it pertains to the LBGTQ+ movement where he writes, "There is no clearer definition of the problem of pride than the claim there’s something contrary to God’s Word and to God’s creation order, something that by definition, as the Apostle Paul says, is a rebellion against creation order. It is an attempt to subvert creation order to suppress the truth in unrighteousness. To be proud of that is a massive problem. It’s a massive problem that diagnoses a more basic problem. And that does not mean that what I’m saying here is that it proves that LGBTQ+ persons are sinners. No, human beings are sinners. Every one of us, all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
"But when you take a sin, clearly condemned in Scripture, and then you declare your pride in identifying with it, that does seem to me to be a classic example of exactly what the Apostle Paul is describing in Romans chapter 1, that which brings God’s utter condemnation, and should serve as an illustration to us. And I’m not just making that connection. The Apostle Paul makes that connection. It becomes a picture of Genesis 3 recapitulated all over again. And that flag as a Pride flag becomes a graphic symbol of that very problem."
Please take time to listen to this commentary if you want to understand this wickedness, that along with abortion, is at the heart of the culture war in America. Soli Deo gloria

Ayaan Hirsi Ali was born in Somalia during the civil war. When her father was deemed a political criminal her family fled to Saudi Arabia, then to Ethiopia, and finally Kenya. There she was introduced to fundamentalist Islam. Fear based submission became her family’s way of life.
As a woman locked into a hopelessly controlled society, she found herself expected to submit to an arranged marriage with a Muslim man she didn’t even know. And she said, “I don’t agree with you, dad. I don’t think this is the man I want to get married to. He said, “It’s God’s will. You can’t argue with God you just have to submit and obey.”
So, at the age of 22, I took a train to Amsterdam. I asked, “How do I get to an asylum center?” Within four weeks, the government gave me refugee status, which is a permanent status and I never looked back.
I have included an interview with Ayaan that is helpful for understanding Islam and is also helpful for understanding what is going on in Minnesota right now.

As Christians, we hear daily of turmoil in our nation and in nations around the world and still remain confident that no matter what the nations of the world do or say, "there is still One King who is over all," as the words of the song, Ancient of Days, points out. And we learn about the Ancient of Days from the Book of Daniel. He is the One true God and He has a plan for the future even as the nations, corporations and individuals make their plans. Soli Deo gloria.

Daniel 7:7–14, After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, terrifying and dreadful and exceedingly strong. It had great iron teeth; it devoured and broke in pieces and stamped what was left with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. I considered the horns, and behold, there came up among them another horn, a little one, before which three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots. And behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking great things.
“As I looked, thrones were placed, and the Ancient of Days took His seat; His clothing was white as snow, and the hair of His head like pure wool; His throne was fiery flames; its wheels were burning fire. A stream of fire issued and came out from before Him; a thousand thousands served Him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him; the court sat in judgment, and the books were opened.
“I looked then because of the sound of the great words that the horn was speaking. And as I looked, the beast was killed, and its body destroyed and given over to be burned with fire. As for the rest of the beasts, their dominion was taken away, but their lives were prolonged for a season and a time.
“I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a Son of Man, and He came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before Him. And to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him; His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom one that shall not be destroyed.
