At least once a year, Christians are reminded of Jesus’ prayer for his disciples that “they may be one so that the world may believe” (see John 17.21).

We hosted a breakfast for church staff during the Week of Christian Unity. We had clergy and staff from the Salvation Army, LaPorte New Church, Holy Family Parish, the Presbyterian Church of LaPorte, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, and State Street Community Church.

Our inaugural Community Prayer Breakfast was a resounding success. The food was delicious. The opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new ones was wonderful. The La Porte High School Orchestra, Band, and Choir entertained us beautifully. And our guest speaker was both entertaining and insightful. Thank you La Porte for supporting us in our initiative to Build a Neighborhood from the Inside Out!
