Mental Health Moments🎥

“When Helping Everybody Starts Hurting You”

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and here at Power Chapel Ignite, we’re creating space for conversations around both our spiritual and emotional well-being. 💚

Some people don’t know who they are outside of being needed.

And sometimes what gets praised as “selflessness” is really self-abandonment in disguise.

These patterns can start early—learning to perform, perfect, or people-please just to feel accepted.

It can show up in leadership, work, relationships, parenting, and even how we treat ourselves.

Not everyone who looks strong is truly okay. 💚

Testimony Tuesday 🤍

“I WANTed TO QUIT.”

That was the real feeling.
Not because I don’t love God.
Not because I don’t love people.
But because carrying every role without boundaries created chaos in my life.

God reminded me that His strength shows up best in weakness.

So this is my testimony:
I wanted to quit… but I didn’t.
God kept me anyway. 🤍

Pentecost Sunday at Ignite 🔥🔥🔥

Pastor Torrance preached from the subject:
“When the Saints Get Together” — Acts 2:1-2

Before the sound of heaven came rushing in, before tongues of fire appeared, and before revival broke out, the people were first in unity. God moved when His people came together with one heart, one mind, and one purpose.

We are many members, but one body. God is calling His people back to unity, humility, and agreement with His Spirit.

Whew… we went UP!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾

Mental Health Moments 🎥
Week 3 of Power Chapel Ignite’s Mental Health Moments Series 🤍

Sometimes it’s not other people you’re comparing yourself to — it’s the version of you from another season. And sometimes the seed of comparison was planted long before you realized it was growing.

Your pace changing does not mean your value changed. 🤍

Testimony Tuesday 🙌🏾

In the spring of 2023, Pastor Torrance Rudd went to the church around noon just to spend time alone in prayer. After praying, he left the church and headed home. While driving up the highway, he moved into the turning lane to make a left turn when suddenly a car traveling around 50 mph crashed into him.

Both airbags deployed. The passenger-side tire on his truck broke, and the impact spun the vehicle around into the median.

Most people would ask, “How could something like this happen right after prayer?”

But here’s the testimony: everyone walked away safely.

The two young women in the other vehicle were unharmed, and Pastor Rudd was unharmed as well. But what happened next was something he could never forget.

The young women repeatedly insisted that there was someone else in the vehicle with Pastor Torrance. Pastor kept telling them he was alone.

But after thinking about it, he realized they were right.

He wasn’t alone.

Jesus was in the vehicle with him.

Sometimes God doesn’t stop the storm, but He will sit with you in the middle of it and make sure you come out alive. What the enemy meant for tragedy, God turned into a testimony.

If God has ever protected you, covered you, or spared your life, take a moment today and give Him glory. 🙏🏾

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

Today we wear green to remind people that healing matters, rest matters, and YOU matter.

Be kind to yourself. Check on your people. Pray, breathe, rest, and keep going one day at a time.

You never know what someone is carrying, so let’s choose compassion, love, and support. 💚
