Laugh Away
Genesis 18:1-15, 21:1-7
This Sunday, we hear a story from Genesis, a book of origin stories, a story of Sarah and Abraham being told they will have a child. This is particularly amazing as Sarah is well past child-bearing age. So how could this possibility happen? In a very human moment, Sarah laughs at this news - that she, post-menopausal, will bear a child. Her laughter meets us all, for we have all experienced something that seems impossible - and perhaps laughed at the thought! God responds to Sarah “Is there anything too wonderful for the Lord?" inviting us to consider what may be possible in God, with wonder, awe, and yes, even some laughter. Join us this Sunday in worship as Rev. Mollie preaches and we ponder together the wonders of God’s love.

Made Well
Matthew 9:9-13, 18-26
This week, we will gather as church for worship and then gather as church for our Annual Meeting. During worship, we will hear from the Gospel of Matthew, a reading of three different interactions with Jesus who makes someone well. Matthew the tax collector, made well by eating with and following Jesus, the bleeding woman whose faith makes her well, and the girl (daughter of “a leader”) who is dead but Jesus takes her by the hand and she gets up. These stories will invite us to reflect on what makes us well and how we are healed in different ways. Join us for worship and the Annual Meeting this Sunday, and be prepared to be made well! Rev. Mollie will be preaching.

What Does This Mean?
Acts 2:1-21
This Sunday is Pentecost, when we celebrate the Spirit among us and the creation of the early Church. Please wear RED, the liturgical color of the Spirit! We will hear the story of the first Pentecost, and reflect on “what it means” to be the church in 2026. Together, we will listen for the Spirit in the wind and through others, and discern where we are being called to speak up, to step out, and how to be God’s love in these days. Join us as Rev. Mollie preaches and we celebrate the Spirit and Church!

Sabbath Is a Commandment, Not a Suggestion
Mark 1:32-39
This Sunday we will hear one of the stories where in the midst of a busy season in ministry, Jesus takes a little bit of time for himself. It is a great reminder that we all need rest. In fact, rest is so important that it is one of the 10 commandments. It’s not supposed to be a suggestion, it’s a divine mandate. How and when do we rest? What does “keeping sabbath” mean in today’s world. How is the idea of sabbath connected to Pastor Curt’s Sabbatical. Join us this Sunday for our Sabbatical Send Off as Pastor Curt preaches on rest, renewal, and reconnection.
