Rosh Hashanah is this week!
There’s a lot to it—services, dinner, brisket, honey. Come for all of it! But one moment stands above the rest, and this year it happens only on the second day.
Most years, the shofar is sounded on both mornings of Rosh Hashanah. This year, the first day is Shabbos, when the shofar rests. That means Sunday, September 13, is our one opportunity to hear it.
The shofar is the mitzvah of the day. You don’t have to read anything, say anything, or know anything.
You simply stand—and listen.
This year’s theme is “Making Space”: for G-d, for family, and for one another. Being present for the sounding of the shofar is a powerful way to make space for G-d and reaffirm our relationship with Him.
📍 Shiras Chaim School
🕚 Shofar: Sunday at 11:00 AM
(Services begin at 9:00 AM)
🍽️ Kiddush lunch at 1:00 PM
The shofar itself takes only a few minutes. Whether you join us just for the shofar, for part of the service, or for the entire morning, please let us know so we can make space for you.
We are also honored to be joined this year by world-renowned Chazzan Shea Rubinstein.
Security guards are being generously sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Ocean County.
We look forward to celebrating with you. Shana Tova!
