The Ocean County Sheriff’s Office is advising residents that not all roadways have been plowed at this time. If you are planning to travel, please expect delays and use extreme caution. Many roads remain snow covered and icy.

In addition, traffic signals are not fully operational in several areas due to ongoing power outages. Power has not yet been restored to all parts of the county.

Motorists should treat any non-functioning traffic signal as a four-way stop and reduce speed accordingly. Travel should be limited to essential purposes only.

❄️ Keep fridge/freezer doors closed
🚫 Never use generators or grills indoors
🏠 Generators should be 20+ ft from doors/windows
🤝 Check on elderly neighbors, friends, and family

Due to the impending Blizzard, we will be closed following the end of Masses Sunday until the end of the storm. We will monitor our phones. We pray for the safety of all of you and especially our First Responders: police, firefighters and EMTs and our state, county and local snow removal teams who will be out in the storm serving our community. Let’s make their job easier and safer by observing the State of Emergency and staying off the roads. St. Medard, pray for us! Blessed Mother and St. Joseph please keep watch over all who must be out in this weather!

As we prepare for this storm, let us not forget to include prayer as part of that preparation :

Saint Medard, patron saint for protection against bad storms,
we ask you to intercede for us during the storms of our lives as well as the storms in nature.
Protect our families and our homes.
We pray for assistance for the victims of snowstorms, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, and other natural disasters, especially for the upcoming snowstorm that is headed our way this weekend.
Loving God, send in more helpers, and multiply resources and supplies for the aid of those in need.
You calmed the storm on the Sea of Galilee; deliver us from the storms that are raging around us now.
Saint Medard, pray for us.
Amen.
