Sermon Reflection: What if real strength isn’t about being the one with all the answers, but about making room for others to know they belong?
In Mark 10, the disciples tried to keep children from interrupting Jesus. But Jesus had a different vision. He welcomed them with open arms and reminded everyone that God’s kingdom belongs to those who come with trust, openness, and a willingness to receive love.
That invitation extends beyond children. It challenges us to become people who open doors instead of guarding them, who create belonging instead of barriers, and who measure success not by productivity but by presence.
Every person longs to be seen, valued, and loved. Every generation has something to offer. When we choose compassion over control and welcome over exclusion, we reflect the heart of Christ.
This week, consider: Who in your life needs to know they belong? Perhaps the strongest thing you can do is simply make space, listen well, and remind someone that they matter.

Fun Times, Great Food, Beautiful Weather, Laughter, Community and live Music to end our first Outdoor Community BBQ of the Summer.

A special Thank You to everyone who attended tonight and brought a side dish to share. We had a wonderful assortment of summer food for everyone to choose from.

Also, Thank You to all the volunteers who helped support tonight’s event. Whether it was shopping for the supplies, kitchen work, set-up, grilling, restocking, or breakdown it all has a tremendous impact on the success of these events. We wouldn’t be able to do events like this without all the volunteers support. 🙏💯

⭐️Be sure to mark your calendars for Friday, July 17th as we will be back at it for our second outdoor BBQ of the summer..

Sermon Preview: What does it mean to create a community where children, elders, and families all know they matter?
On Father’s Day we’ll reflect on the sacred work of care, presence, protection, and vulnerability. As Jesus welcomes and blesses children, we are reminded that the kingdom of God is shaped not by power or status, but by tenderness, compassion, and connection.
Together we’ll explore how communities become healthier when no one feels invisible and every generation is valued.
Because the kingdom grows wherever tenderness is practiced.

Sermon Preview: What burdens are becoming too heavy for people to carry alone?
After weeks of listening through our Heart & Hope gatherings, one truth has become clear: many people are carrying more than others realize — stress, grief, exhaustion, uncertainty, and loneliness.
This Sunday we’ll reflect on Paul’s invitation to “bear one another’s burdens” and imagine what a truly interdependent church community could look like.
Because community is built through shared vulnerability, compassion, and mutual care.
