Every meaningful relationship eventually encounters conflict. Jesus offers a surprising vision of community—not one that avoids hard conversations, but one that discovers grace through them. Together we'll explore how courageous love and honest reconciliation become the foundation of communities where people truly belong.

Sermon Preview: What does it take to stay when relationships get difficult?
Every meaningful relationship eventually encounters conflict. Jesus offers us a different vision of community—not one that avoids hard conversations, but one that discovers grace through them.
This Sunday, we’ll explore how courageous love and honest reconciliation can become the foundation for communities where people truly belong.

❤️ **Heart & Hope: Stories of Hope** What gives you hope?
That was the question we explored during our latest Heart & Hope gathering at Shepherd of the Hills. We listened to three people from different generations share where they find hope in their own lives.
Matthew Rummans, beginning his senior year of high school, shared about the pressures of school, college, and the future—and reminded us to notice the joy in the small things: a morning birdsong, a cool breeze, a sunrise, or a mountain waiting to be climbed.
David Gallardo shared a story of finding hope during some of the lowest moments of his life. Through divorce, financial struggles, and uncertainty, he began looking beyond what was going wrong and imagining what might go right. That hope eventually led to new love, a new career, a growing family, wonderful experiences, and finally a sense of home at Shepherd of the Hills.
Ted and Grace Cannon reminded us that hope stretches across generations. Ted reflected on the hopes and prayers his parents had for him when he first started school—and how those hopes unfolded over the course of his life. Grace shared a deeply personal story of hope, faith, perseverance, and the people who helped their family along the way.

**Three stories. Three generations. Three very different journeys.**

And yet, they shared a common thread: **hope rarely comes to us alone.** Hope comes through people who listen, encourage, support, pray, and simply show up.

💚 What is giving you hope right now?
💚 Who is walking with you?
💚 How might you nurture hope in someone else's life?

We don't have to carry hope alone.

Sermon Preview: What if the pressures and changes we’re experiencing aren’t just challenges—but invitations from the Spirit to become a different kind of church?
This Sunday, we’ll gather stories and insights from our Heart & Hope gatherings as we reflect on the question, “What’s giving you hope right now in this changing season?”
Come take a moment with us to pause, breathe, listen, and reflect—and discover where hope may be taking root among us.

Could it be that we have been called for such a time as this? Throughout scripture, moments of pressure become moments of calling. As we prepare to gather the insights of our summer journey, we reflect on how God uses ordinary people and communities to respond faithfully to the needs of their time.

Sermon Preview: Could it be that we have been called for such a time as this?
Throughout Scripture, moments of pressure become moments of calling. This Sunday, we’ll reflect on the story of Esther and Paul’s call to live with genuine love as we consider how God uses ordinary people and communities to respond faithfully to the needs of their time.
As we gather the insights of our summer journey, we’ll ask: What does it mean to meet our moment with courage and love?

Sermon Reflection: What future becomes possible when we trust the Spirit enough to imagine together? Holy imagination isn't ignoring reality. It is looking at our circumstances and asking, “What if God is already doing something here?”
As Shepherd of the Hills, we don't have to dream alone. We need the wisdom of our elders, the vision of our young people, and the Spirit moving among us.
So let us dream—not alone, but together. Rooted in love. Open to possibility. Trusting the God who is still becoming.
