Have you ever realized that the life you’re living on the outside doesn’t quite match who you are on the inside?

In today’s talk, Rev. Shannon shares her own journey of taking off the mask, finding her people, and discovering the freedom that comes when we begin to live in greater alignment with who we truly are.

And that same idea comes to life in a very special way at NTCSL as we celebrate our new Interfaith Garden, created to help the outside of our spiritual home more fully reflect the inclusive, progressive, compassionate community within.

This week, Rev. Shannon invites us to ask: What loving action can I take that will bring me more into alignment with who I truly am?

Watch "This Place, These People” and come home to yourself. 💙

There’s something meaningful about finding a place where you can show up as you are and people who remind you that you belong.

This Sunday, Rev. Shannon O’Hurley shares “This Place, These People,” a reflection on community, belonging, and the ways we help create a place that feels like home.

Sometimes the hardest part of being in the dark is not knowing what the darkness means.

Is something ending… or is something new beginning?

In this week’s message, Rev. Shannon reflects on a powerful question from civil rights leader Valerie Kaur: “Is this the darkness of the tomb or the darkness of the womb?”

When we can’t yet see what comes next, perhaps there is still room for possibility. 💙

Some weeks, the spiritual practice is simply learning to trust what we can’t quite see yet. 💙

These takeaways from Sunday are such a beautiful reminder that trust doesn’t have to happen all at once. We can practice compassion, notice the evidence of Love showing up, and rebuild trust one small step at a time.

Save this one for the days when appearances feel especially convincing. ✨

Love in everything doesn’t mean everything is always lovely.

It means love is still here.

And sometimes, when we can’t see the love, we’re being asked to be the love. 💙

Today’s message brings our month of Trust and Compassion together with an invitation to notice the evidence that love is still showing up, one small moment at a time.

Curiosity can interrupt what prejudice has taught us.

When a rabbi and an imam chose to get curious about one another, they stepped beyond generations of bias and into a larger circle of understanding.

Rev. Shannon reminds us that we can do the same.

In our families. In our workplaces. In our communities.

Every time we choose curiosity over assumption, we make the circle a little wider.

Thought-provoking conversations for people who are spiritual, curious, and looking for a community where everyone belongs.

Rest in Light, Dolly. 🤍

Today we honor not only an extraordinary artist, but an extraordinary human being.

Dolly Parton spent a lifetime showing us what it looks like to turn success into service. She gave hundreds of millions of books to children through her Imagination Library. She invested in education and scholarships. She helped families rebuild after devastating wildfires. She supported lifesaving medical research. She stood for love, dignity and inclusion, and somehow managed to make the world feel a little kinder while she did it all.

She reminded us that our gifts aren't only ours to keep. They are ours to share.

The music will live on. The laughter will live on. And the light she put into this world will continue to ripple through generations.

Rest in Light, Dolly.
We will always love you.🤍
