A place where we walk by faith and not by sight! We are a unique and different body of believers. At Dean Hill we dare to be different. At Dean Hill, we have a view of the church as found in the New Testament scriptures so that we find that it is not a building or a structured organization but a local fellowship of believers gathered together with Jesus Christ as their head. Being a Baptist Church

, we do not have a hierarchy of leadership headed by a national figure with control from the top downwards, but rather the local members share the responsibility for the running of the church. This means that the majority decision reached in a church meeting after seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit is the final authority for the conduct of the local affairs. (Acts 1:14-26, 6: 2-6, 15: 30-35.) Our local authority extends to many things including the decision as to the calling of a minister, although we believe in the priesthood of all believers, format of the worship and the use of the buildings.
