Today reminded us of something we cannot afford to forget:

The church is not confined to a building, and our relationship with God cannot depend on a public gathering.

Jesus said, “When thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret.”

The sanctuary may be unavailable today, but your secret place is still open.

Shut the door.
Silence the noise.
Put down the phone.
Open your Bible.
Get honest with God.

Public worship is powerful, but it cannot replace private devotion.

Your public life will never remain deeper than your private relationship with God.

Meet Him in the secret place.

🚨 PINNACLE FAMILY, WE NEED YOU RIGHT NOW!

Today’s worship service had to be canceled because the building we currently use was flooded. While this was unexpected and beyond our control, it is another urgent reminder of why securing a permanent home for The Pinnacle Church matters so much.

First, please pray. Pray for wisdom, favor, provision, and clear direction as we determine our next steps.

Second, if The Pinnacle Church has ever encouraged you, strengthened your family, or helped you encounter God, we are asking you to sow into this ministry today. No gift is too small. Please give whatever God places on your heart.

Finally, share this post. Someone connected to you may be the person God uses to help us move forward.

We are not giving up. We are not backing down. We are still believing that $90,000 is possible!

Small gifts. Big faith. One vision.

Together, we are building generational impact one brick at a time.

We often ask God to free us while continuing to protect the habits, relationships, and environments that keep us bound.

But freedom requires agreement with God.

If He calls it bo***ge, stop calling it comfort.
If He calls it disobedience, stop calling it complicated.
If He tells you to leave it, stop asking Him to make it safe enough to keep.

Grace will meet you but grace will also lead you out.

Freedom is not merely feeling better while remaining bound. Freedom is having the courage to follow God beyond the place that once controlled you.

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

John 8:36

It is possible to sound spiritual and still make everybody around you feel small.

We can quote Scripture, lift our hands in worship, and know all the right church language but what do people actually experience when they encounter us?

Do they experience love?
Do they experience peace?
Can they feel the joy of the Lord in us?
Or do they constantly experience our attitude, coldness, jealousy, and unresolved frustration?

Jesus did not call us to simply talk about being light. He called us to shine.

That light should be visible in how we treat people, how we respond when we are overlooked, and whether we can genuinely celebrate someone else without feeling threatened.

The Holy Ghost produces evidence: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Lord, do not just make us louder Christians.

Make us more loving.
Make us more peaceful.
Make us more like Jesus.

Sunday’s message may be over, but the examination must continue.

Depth resistance does not always look like rebellion. Sometimes it looks like repeatedly choosing what is easy, familiar and comfortable—even when God is calling us deeper.

We want strong roots without consistent prayer.

We want spiritual fruit without submission.

We want stability in the storm without allowing the Word to shape us before the storm arrives.

But deep roots are not developed accidentally. They grow through daily surrender, disciplined obedience and an appetite for God that refuses to survive on Sunday alone.

This week, pay attention to what is feeding your roots.

“His delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night.” — Psalm 1:2

Psalm 1 does not begin with fruit. It begins with influence.

Before Scripture describes the person who prospers, it addresses where that person walks, where that person stands, and where that person sits.

That means spiritual growth is not only about what you add to your life. Sometimes it begins with what you refuse to keep entertaining.

Every voice does not deserve access.
Every environment does not deserve your presence.
Every relationship does not deserve influence over your direction.

If you want different fruit, examine what is feeding your roots.

Some people are waiting for freedom to erase what happened.

But freedom does not always remove the memory. Sometimes freedom removes the memory’s authority.

You can remember it without reliving it.
You can acknowledge it without being ashamed of it.
You can tell the story without returning to the bo***ge.

Your history may explain part of you, but through Christ, it does not have permission to imprison you.

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” — John 8:36

Jesus never invited us to sprinkle Christianity over a life we had already decided to live.

He said, “Follow Me.”

That invitation reaches beyond Sunday attendance, inspirational captions and emotional worship moments. Following Jesus requires that we surrender our direction, preferences, appetites and plans to His authority.

He is not merely asking to be included.

He is Lord.

When His Word confronts us, we follow.
When obedience costs us, we follow.
When the crowd turns around, we follow.
When we do not understand the road, we follow.

Christianity without surrender may carry the language of faith, but it does not bear the weight of discipleship.

The verdict is in.

We are followers.

They called it a “hard saying.”

But the problem was not merely that they could not understand Jesus.

They understood enough to know that His words would not allow them to remain in control.

Sometimes we call the Word confusing because we do not want the Word to be clear.

We ask for another interpretation when the instruction we already understand costs more than we want to surrender.

A follower does not only ask:

“Did the Word bless me?”

A follower also asks:

“Did the Word correct me, expose me and call me deeper?”

Do not run from the Word that is trying to form you.
