The City of Lake Charles Recreation and Parks Department is now accepting registrations for its 2026 Fall Youth Volleyball League.

The league offers two divisions:

Instructional League (Ages 7-9): Designed to introduce players to the fundamentals of volleyball while building basic skills in a fun, supportive environment.

Junior League (Ages 10-12): Focused on competitive play and continued skill development for more experienced athletes.

Registration is available online only at
www.cityoflakecharles.com/volleyball through August 14. Registration is conducted on an individual basis. The registration fee is $25 per player, and a copy of the participant's birth certificate must be uploaded during the registration process. Players must be the appropriate age as of August 1, 2026.

Games will be played throughout September and October at the Donald Ray Stevens Community Center at Goosport Park (1619 Cessford St.).

The Recreation and Parks Department is also seeking volunteer coaches. Coaches will be provided with volleyballs and other coaching equipment.

ALL YOUTH ARE WELCOME. It doesn’t matter if the parent attends church or not. Ages 12-18 are invited. Every Wed at 7 pm @ United Christian Fellowship Church. Need a ride. Van pick up: 337-489-9100
