☘️ Summer is coming, have you made plans for your kids yet? Join us at The Open Door Church for VBS, June 8–12 from 5:30–8 PM!

Our theme, An Irish Adventure Through Psalm 23, takes kids on a journey through Ireland while helping them understand God’s love in a personal way. Each night is filled with fun, learning, and meaningful connection in a safe environment.

Dinner is served at 5:30 PM for just $2, and the full week is only $10 per child. It’s simple, affordable, and impactful.

Due to forecasted weather and statewide travel concerns, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel ECON 2026. We’re grateful to FBC Lafayette and all of our speakers for their partnership, and while we’re disappointed we can’t gather this year, we look forward to sharing details about ECON 2027. Until then, keep sharing Jesus!

LBC just released this concerning ECON:

“We have made the difficult decision to cancel ECON ’26 scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, January 26-27, at First Baptist Church, Lafayette, due to the forecasted weather. While Lafayette and South Louisiana may not be affected much, ECON is a statewide event. Those coming from Central and North Louisiana are likely to face significant travel impacts. In addition, many of our speakers, musicians, and presenters are facing difficult travel. Furthermore, our Disaster Relief teams are standing by to provide assistance to those affected by power outages.

We are incredibly thankful for the staff and members of First Baptist Church, Lafayette, who have been wonderful partners in preparing for ECON ’26. We are disappointed in our inability to gather this year, but we look forward to sharing details about ECON ’27.
