WELCOME TO OUR GUESTS

We extend our warmest welcome to our guests. We hope you will join
us each Sunday as we celebrate and gather in the name of our Risen
Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. If you have any questions concerning our
Worship Service or about Faith Church; please ask an usher, a Faith
member sitting close by, or Pastor. Please know that you are most
welcome to participate in the life and ministry of Faith Church. Holy Communion

Holy Communion is celebrated in the joyful confidence that through this
sacrament our Savior gives us His body and blood for the forgiveness of
our sins. Our Lord invites to this meal all those who trust in Him,
believe His words, repent of their sins, and willingly demonstrate
His love and forgiveness to others as He has shown it us. If you
have any question about the Sacrament, please speak to an usher or
pastor. The ushers will invite you to the altar for Communion. The last table
will be for those who wish to receive the Common Cup.

SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER 2026
From the Pastor’s Perspective

I am writing this just after hearing about the passing of Dolly. As I was entering the car wash, I heard people on the radio talking about her memorial, and it hit my heart. She was, and will continue to be a beloved person to all who knew her. One thing I always said about Dolly, “I think she is the one celebrity, maybe even person, in the world that I cannot find someone saying something bad about them or someone hating them.” She had just this aura of love around her. And I believe that love came from her relationship with the Lord. She often talked about her faith with other people and did not hide that she was a Christian. She saw everyone as children of God and wanted to help where she saw people in need.

I think we can all learn from Dolly. When dealing with other people, whether they be kind or not, treat them with love. Treat them as a fellow child of God, even if they don’t acknowledge it. It’s more difficult for a person to treat you badly while you’re treating them with love compared to two people feeding off one another’s anger. We also need to be aware of others in need and help them where we can. Share your faith with others, letting them know the reason for your hope that is in Jesus Christ. That way, just like Dolly, they can find their hope in Jesus as well and go to be by his side when the time comes. We will miss you Dolly, but the love for God and one another you showed us will stay with us forever. Thank you!

Blessings,
Pastor

AUGUST NEWSLETTER 2026
From the Pastor’s Perspective

August always feels like one of, if not, THE hottest months of each year. Temperatures are consistently in the 90’s, and sometimes even hitting triple digits. This is the type of heat that is devastating to people if they are not prepared for it. Just recently, North America hosted the FIFA World Cup. During it, there were many videos presented about Europeans coming to America and being amazed at how different it was to their home countries. Perhaps one of the biggest differences was the existence of Air Conditioning. After hearing all of this, I am even less inclined to go vacationing in these other countries without such a comfort. Living in Louisiana during these summers makes me appreciate A/C, and I cannot imagine what it would be like without it. I am not sure if I could survive without it now that I have experienced the gloriousness of it. This is a great benefit we have as Americans.

Likewise, being a Christian is so much better than any other option. After experiencing the love of Christ and what it means for me, I could not imagine wanting anything less than that. This is why it is important that we spread the Word of God to others so they can experience A/C….I mean J/C (Jesus Christ). Just as the Europeans who did not want to return home after experiencing the benefits of being in America, it is illogical for people to want to return to where they were in life after experiencing the benefits of being a child of God. Therefore I encourage you to reflect upon these benefits in your own life and share them with others as well so they do not have to deal with the unbearable “heat” that is to come.

Blessings,
Pastor
