We will be having an outdoor work day on June 6th to help beautify the church exterior. All are welcome to help out. We will be starting at 8:00AM.

Today, we celebrate a special milestone in the faith journey of our Confirmation students at Faith Lutheran Church. ✝️

We are so proud of each of these young people as they publicly affirm their faith and continue growing in God’s love and grace. Please join us in congratulating them and praying for them as they take this important step in their walk with Christ.

May God continue to guide, strengthen, and bless each of you today and always. ❤️

From the Pastor’s Perspective

This month, we will be celebrating the Confirmation of our seven confirmands, welcoming them as voting members of our congregation. Do you remember your Confirmation? More importantly, do you think you know more or less about what you learned in class then or now? The students have been panicking over the past couple months about the exam at the end of the class which they need to pass in order to complete the class. Did you have to take a final test? Did you have to get interviewed by the Board of Elders and get their approval to complete the course? Or did you have to stand in front of the entire congregation to answer questions before everyone? How do you think you would do today if you had to go through it again?

For many people, they take their Confirmation as their graduation from their education about the Bible or their church. But the thing about the Bible is, is that you should constantly be reading and studying it. The same Bible passage can mean something to you at all different points in your life. It helps bring us hope and comfort in our troubled times. The church is a family that you will have in your good and your bad times. Confirmation is not the end of your church life, but simply the beginning. It is there to set us up for the rest of our lives as we live them devoted to our Lord. I hope you remember your Confirmation and I hope even more that you have continued learning more and more, building your faith while using it as a foundation. I also hope our current confirmands will take the same path.

We will be volunteering at "The Inn Project" tomorrow, May 2, 2026, from around 2:30-4:30PM at the Express Inn Motel located at 1314 Northeast Evangeline Thruway. Those who want to ride together and/or carpool can meet us at the church where we will be gathering and then leaving for 2:00PM. We will be handing out food, clothing, and hygiene products to the less unfortunate.

The Leadership Council will meet after the Service Sunday.

The final exam for Confirmation will be Sunday from 2:15-2:45PM. Afterwards, we will be celebrating the conclusion of the 2-year course by going to the Escape Room.

Youth Group will meet Sunday from 4-6PM.

Our Tuesday WIM Bible Study continues at 9:30AM. We will finish watching “The Dirty Dozen” in our “Christ in Cinema” study.

Next weekend is Mother’s Day. Therefore our potluck will be pushed back to the third Sunday, May 17th.

TOMORROW:

We will be volunteering at "The Inn Project" tomorrow, May 2, 2026, from around 2:30-4:30PM at the Express Inn Motel located at 1314 Northeast Evangeline Thruway.
