The Good News Was Not Lets Hurry Up And Get To Heaven.

Jesus is never called the savior "FROM" the World, but the savior "OF" the World. Much of the church is waiting for Jesus to physically return to change the World. Yet Jesus Himself said," it is better for you that I NOT (physically) be here, so the Holy Spirit can come". Jesus knew that the World would be changed not by a single event but by Son's of God awakening to who and whose they are and partnering with the Holy Spirit to save the World and not just leave it. The writers of the new testament presented Christ as the Savior of God's creation and the restorer of God's original intention for mankind. This was to give a hope for the future that is redemptive and not destructive, and a Kingdom of peace not war, and then gave to the Church a message of "growing up" rather than "going up". In order for us to claim to be declaring a Gospel of "good news" we must honestly believe in a message that points us to something that is hopeful, redemptive, and restorative .
