😎🐊 β€œSee you later, Gators!” …but not before we celebrate an incredible group of students who have truly left their mark on our Downtown Campus!

Last week during our final Closing Ceremony, we honored our amazing 7th graders at the annual "Later Gator" ceremony as they prepare to take the next big step over to the Sugar Mill Pond Campus. Since 1st grade, these students have filled our halls with laughter, learning, friendship, faith, and unforgettable memories. It has been such a blessing to watch them grow over the years into confident, compassionate young men and women ready for all that lies ahead.

✨ We are so proud of each and every one of them and cannot wait to see all they accomplish in this exciting new chapter. Once a Downtown Gator, always a Gator! 🐊

πŸ™Œ Now go enjoy your next adventure… because it is OFFICIALLY SUMMER! β˜€οΈπŸ˜ŽπŸŽ‰

🐊 Last week, we celebrated our 5th and 6th Grade Closing Ceremonies as students were recognized for their hard work and accomplishments throughout the school year.

From Honor Roll and Headmaster’s List recognitions to Blue Gator Grace Awards, Million Word Readers, and faculty-selected book awards, the ceremonies highlighted the many ways these students have grown both inside and outside the classroom.

We also recognized student involvement in extracurriculars including Chapel Council, Student Leadership, National Junior Honor Society, Junior Beta Club, MATHCOUNTS, G.A.T.O.R.S. 4H, and eSports.

πŸ’™πŸŠ Congratulations to all of our 5th and 6th grade students for a fantastic year. We are proud of the dedication and enthusiasm they bring to our campus each day. Now they can say hello to SUMMER! 😎

🌟 Congratulations to our 2026–2027 Student Ambassadors for grades 8–12!

These student leaders will serve as the face of Ascension throughout the upcoming school year, helping prospective families experience the heart of our school community. From welcoming visitors at Open House events to guiding shadow students through a day on campus, our Ambassadors play an important role in sharing what it means to be a Blue Gator.

As Classroom Representatives, Shadow Buddies, and event volunteers, these students will help families feel informed, welcomed, and connected from the moment they arrive on campus.

πŸ’™πŸŠ Thank you for stepping up to lead, serve, and represent Ascension with pride. We can’t wait to see the impact you make this year!

🏰✨ Our Sixth Grade Medieval Day brought history to life in the best way! After studying Shakespeare in English class, students stepped into the world of castles, knights, and medieval traditions through hands-on activities across campus.

πŸ“œπŸŒΉ From flower crowns and calligraphy to goblets, gargoyles, face painting, and medieval games, our Blue Gators fully embraced the spirit of the day. One of the biggest highlights was learning the art of jousting from professional specialists. πŸŽβš”οΈ

🎯 The excitement continued with the annual β€œcatapult” challenge as students put their math and engineering skills to the test, launching their creations with impressive precision and creativity.

πŸ’™πŸŠ A big thank you to our middle school teachers for creating such a memorable cross-curricular experience filled with learning, laughter, and a little medieval fun!

🚌 Big adventures, unforgettable memories, and plenty of Blue Gator fun! Our 4th graders recently headed to Houston for one of Ascension’s favorite traditions, and what an incredible trip it was!

⚾ From touring Daikin Park (formerly Minute Maid Park) and cheering on the Astros to exploring the Natural Science Museum and planetarium, our students experienced so much together along the way.

🐠 One of the biggest highlights? Spending the night at the Downtown Aquarium! For many of our young Blue Gators, this was their very first overnight, out-of-town trip, which made the experience even more special.

πŸ’™ This annual Houston trip is such an exciting milestone for our 4th graders and the perfect way to help prepare them for the big 5th grade trip to Washington, D.C. The memories made and friendships strengthened will last long after the buses rolled back onto campus!
