Brown envelopes for June and July support Camp Hardtner scholarships!

This year, we awarded 4 families scholarships to help with the cost of sending children to camp. We never want finances to be the reason someone misses Camp, so please support next year's scholarships by giving via the brown envelopes this summer.

To see all the fun our youth are having, follow Camp Hardtner on Facebook and Instagram this summer!

Lord, what is mine to do?

That is the question we will be praying together as St. Barnabas begins Find Your Place at the Table, a six-week invitation into deeper belonging and shared ministry.

You are welcome here. Your presence matters. And when you are ready, there is a place for your gifts in the mission God is building among us.

Read this week’s blog to learn more about what is beginning on Pentecost Sunday.

This Sunday, we welcomed our new curate, Deacon Riley, to St. Barnabas! He delivered a lovely sermon, sat with our little ones, and got to chat with his new church family. We are so excited to witness his journey. We love him already. Welcome, Deacon Riley!

This Sunday, we will welcome St. Barnabas' new curate, Riley!

A country mouse from the backwoods of Alabama, Riley moved to Tennessee to further his education at the School of Theology at the University of the South in Sewanee, TN, where he completed his Masters of Divinity and Masters of Sacred Theology.

Before that, he completed an MA of Religion and a BA in English and History at Athens State University in north Alabama, and a BA in German at Samford University in Birmingham, AL. At Sewanee, Riley served as a Chaplain in Residence, living in a dorm apartment and providing pastoral care to the undergraduate residents there.

In his post-school life, Riley continues to be an absolute nerd who who enjoys studying languages, scripture, and theology. Most recently, he has worked as an adjunct professor, janitor, and storyteller. His border collie, Harper Lee, has been a faithful companion for ten years now. A regular attendee at the daily prayer services at seminary, Harper enjoys praying the daily office with her dad, chasing squirrels, and weaseling table scraps out of anyone available. They are both looking forward to their move to Lafayette and getting to know, grow, and love with the good people of St. Barnabas.

Join us as we celebrate and welcome at our 10:30 service.

Children’s Chapel participants are in grades k-5th. Each service starts at 10:15, and lasts for around one hour.

This is a wonderful opportunity to gain valuable experience with the youth, or to simply lend a helping hand at St. Barnabas.
