St. John's Reformed Church in Kutztown Share the Vision, Catch the Joy! Worship service is on Sunday at 10:15 a.m. People who worship at the United Church of Christ do not all think alike. St. Amen.

We do not require our members to subscribe to certain creeds or dogmas. We accept the historic creeds of the church, such as the Apostles' and Nicene, as representing the faith we share in common. We also have a Statement of Faith, which is widely accepted, and which we think is one o the best modern interpretations of Christianity. John's UCC is one of more than 200 churches in the Pennsylvania S

We believe in You, O God, Eternal Spirit, God of our Savior Jesus Christ and our God, and to your deeds we testify:

You call the worlds into being, create persons in your own image, and set before each one the ways of life and death. You seek in holy love to save all people from aimlessness and sin. You judge people and nations by your righteous will declared through prophets and apostles. In Jesus Christ, the man of Nazareth, our crucified and risen Savior, you have come to us and shared our common lot, conquering sin and death and reconciling the world to yourself. You bestow upon us your Holy Spirit, creating and renewing the church of Jesus Christ, binding in covenant faithful people of all ages, tongues, and races. You call us into your church to accept the cost and joy of discipleship, to be your servants in the service of others, to proclaim the gospel to all the world and resist the powers of evil, to share in Christ's baptism and eat at his table, to join him in his passion and victory. I’ve had a few questions about contributions going forward. Please continue to write your contribution checks as you have. We are in the process of changing the name, but until everything is officially changed, our account titles are still the same. .

Also: I can use your help! Since we’re updating EVERYTHING ~ if you notice somewhere at the church, in our announcements, or elsewhere that the name change hasn’t been updated, PLEASE let me know. It’s very hard to edit “all of it” with one set of eyes. I truly appreciate the help. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the office. Thank you for your patience as we make this transition.

HEIDI SCARANO’S NEXT BOOK IS COMING OUT SOMETIME THIS SUMMER!
Heidi will be taking pre-orders for the sequel to The Adventures of Hairy Spinner. Arachnid Airlines is currently in the design phase and should be out before summer.
Follow Hairy and Blitz as they have not only the biggest adventure yet - they discover the true meaning of family and love.
Arachnid Airlines is $20. However, there will be a launch special - both books 1 and 2 for $30.

WANT TO SUPPORT SPECIAL MUSIC DURING OUR SERVICES
If you would like to help sponsor special music for our services, please send your contributions with a memo on the envelope or check noting that your donation is for special music.
This deposit will then be added to the Council on the Arts Fund.

SUNDAY FLOWER SPONSORS
If you would like to sponsor our flowers on a Sunday, please contact the office or sign up on the sheet in the Narthex. The cost is $50. Checks should be written to St. John’s. Please let us know if there are specific colors you would like and any dedication/s you may have. You may also bring your own arrangements. If doing this, please have them set up a half hour before worship begins.

SUNDAY FELLOWSHIPS
Our Sunday worship fellowship goal is to have at least one after worship fellowship, a month.
Pastor Sanders recommendation is to possibly schedule these fellowships when choir is scheduled to perform. There is a signup sheet in the Narthex.
If you would like to host one of these Sundays, please add your name to the list. There is also updated signup sheets for Hymn Leaders and Sponsoring Flowers for our services.

TONIGHT! CANDY MAKING SPRING CELEBRATION DINNER
The dinner will be here at St. John’s @ 6 p.m.
We are asking those that are attending to bring along either a side dish or dessert to share, plus $7.
Main course, pot roast, mashers & herb chicken.

If you would like to help sponsor special music for our services, please send your contributions with a memo on the envelope or check noting that your donation is for special music.
This deposit will then be added to the Council on the Arts Fund.

SUNDAY FLOWER SPONSORS
If you would like to sponsor our flowers on a Sunday, please contact the office or sign up on the sheet in the Narthex. The cost is $50. Checks should be written to St. John’s. Please let us know if there are specific colors you would like and any dedication/s you may have. You may also bring your own arrangements. If doing this, please have them set up a half hour before worship begins.

SUNDAY FELLOWSHIPS
Our Sunday worship fellowship goal is to have at least one after worship fellowship, a month.
Pastor Sanders recommendation is to possibly schedule these fellowships when choir is scheduled to perform. There is a signup sheet in the Narthex.
If you would like to host one of these Sundays, please add your name to the list. There is also updated signup sheets for Hymn Leaders and Sponsoring Flowers for our services.

🔥Pentecost Sunday
🍞Communion Celebration🍷
We’ll celebrate the “birthday” of the Christian Church this day.
Pastor Sanders will share the message: “Greater Works to Come” based on John 14:12-17.
Amelia Gamble will be our musical guest.
This is also Memorial Day weekend.

Pastor Sanders will host a “sermon chat” after worship this day in the church lounge. These were well received throughout Lent and so he’s decided to continue them on a monthly basis.

🙏🏽We lift Dave Walker, Davis Knauer, Gail Young, Brenda Rohrbach, and Jody Reidenhour in our prayers.

🇺🇦We continue our second-mile gifts for Ukraine in partnership with St. Mary’s Orthodox Ukrainian Church in Allentown.
