One of the simplest ways we can make a difference in a child’s life is by helping to ensure they have food to eat when school is not in session.
Many children in our community depend on school meals during the week.
Through the Backpack Buddies Program at Sharon Church, weekend food bags are provided so children can return to school on Monday nourished, healthy, and ready to learn.
During the summer, our team works hard to raise funds and prepare for the next school year in order to be ready to provide food for approximately 50-100 children each week at Contentnea Savannah School.
The Backpack Buddies Ministry at Sharon Church does not rely on any grants or programs and is graciously sponsored by our congregation and community. This year, to assist in our efforts, we're inviting all who are interested to... "Adopt a Child.”
How It Works:
🔸$10 per month sponsors one bag for one child.
🔸Your gift helps provide weekend food throughout the school year.
🔸You may sponsor one child, multiple children, or simply give any amount you'd like.
How to Give:
🔹Place your donation in the Backpack Buddies donation box on the altar.
🔹Mail your donation to: 4106 Sharon Church Rd/Kinston NC 28501
If you'd like, you may:
