Christianity proclaims that this world’s days are numbered. Every cemetery testifies that the Bible is true. Our days on earth are numbered. James says that life is only a v***r that appears for a moment and then vanishes (James 4:14). Nations will also come to an end. However, there is good news! The end will come when Jesus Christ returns and sets up a kingdom where hatred, greed, jealousy, and death will no longer be known. That is why a Christian can smile in the midst of all that is happening. We know what the end will be: the triumph of the Lord Jesus Christ!

Have you ever prayed for something again and again and wondered why your prayer wasn’t answered in the affirmative? Maybe there’s a spiritual battle raging that you know nothing about. There is a fascinating story in Daniel 10 about a mighty angel who appeared before the prophet Daniel. The angel told Daniel that God heard his prayer, and he was on his way from Heaven with the answer. But “for twenty-one days the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the archangels, came to help me” (Daniel 10:13) Remember this: God’s delays are not necessarily His denials. So keep praying!
