(12) And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. (15) And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Revelation 20:12, 15

There are books in heaven with all the deeds of all human beings recorded. That should be one of the most sobering thoughts to ever cross your mind. We will all be judged according to those books. But only those whose names are in the Lamb’s book of life escape the lake of fire. What does all that mean? It means that we’re all going to meet God face to face and even our most secret deeds will be revealed. It means that works can’t save us (Ephesians 2:8-9) but they confirm that we are saved (James 2:17). Fruit does not make a tree good. Fruit shows that the tree is good. It means if a person has not repented of their sins and trusted in the blood of Jesus, their name is not in the book of life and the other books will condemn that person. For the believer whose name is written in the book of life, the other books will confirm their salvation.

God’s Word is inspired and inerrant. It is perfect. Our culture has launched an all out attack to suppress and oppose the truth of God. The war for the souls of adults and our children is rapidly escalating. As Christians, we are responsible to learn God’s truth and live by it. Our children and grandchildren are dependent upon us to be courageous and faithful.

Physical death is separation of soul from body. Spiritual death is separation of soul from God forever. Saved people can never die because they can never be separated from God. There are a lot of dead people who will go to work today. They have physical existence, but they don't have spiritual life. Life is in Christ! Our mortal enemies are death and hell. Jesus conquered them both!
