To be in Christ is to be loved, redeemed, adopted, made an heir, secure in Christ, accepted in Christ, assured of a future, and given a divine nature. That’s all available to anyone who comes to Christ in repentance and faith.

In his book, Foresight, which is endorsed by three Nobel Prize winners, chemist Marcos Eberlin wrote about the complexity of a single cell in the human body. He said, “If you were to bid this demanding, multifaceted job [the designing of a human cell] out to the most technologically advanced engineering firms in the world, their top engineers might either laugh in your face or run screaming into the night. The requisite technology is far beyond our most advanced human knowledge.” Whether you peer at a human cell through a microscope or at the galaxies through a telescope, you can’t miss the evidence of the most ingenious engineering and structural design imaginable.

God’s mercy is giving Jesus what we deserve. God’s grace is giving us what Jesus deserves. God is rich in mercy (Ephesians 2:4-5) and full of grace (John 1:14).

Alright, I struggle with this but one of the best ways to meet the Lord is to rise up early in the morning before activities of the day can interfere. This apparently was the practice of Jesus Himself. There are examples of this throughout scripture. It’s not a bad way to start each day. “I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me” (Proverbs 8:17). “My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up” (Psalm 5:3).
