The vision for Burn has never changed. When two disciples encountered Jesus on the road to Emmaus and later asked themselves, “Did our hearts not burn within us?” they put words to something we are still contending for today: a generation whose hearts burn for Jesus. Not for a moment. For a lifetime.
This year’s theme comes from Hebrews 12:1-3. “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”
We believe God is doing something powerful in this generation. He is raising up sons and daughters running after Him with an endurance and drive we have not yet seen. Their race will take them into being the hands and feet of the Kingdom, bringing the transforming love of Christ to their homes, friends, teams, school, and region. Year in and year out, we have tasted and seen His faithfulness at Burn, and we believe this year will be no different.
Join us in prayer as we contend for a fresh move of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of our students.
