Good morning church family,
God spoke to my heart this week as He reminded me of something, and I wanted to share with you.
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes…” Romans 1:16
There was nothing quiet about Jesus’ love for us. He did not stay silent when it cost Him everything. He stood before accusers. He endured mockery. He carried a cross. Though He answered little in His defense, His actions spoke louder than words ever could. Calvary was not silence - it was a declaration: “I LOVE YOU.”
Jesus was unashamed to be identified with sinners (with us). He is not ashamed of our weakness, our mess, or our failures. Instead he stretched out His arms, in love, and bore our shame so we could walk in freedom.
“Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before my Father who is in Heaven.” Matthew 10:32
How can we remain silent about Him?
It’s funny because we don’t remain silent about all the things we are passionate about. May we be as unashamed about Jesus as we are about the things we love, because nothing - and no one - has ever loved us more than He has.
The cross reminds us: He was NOT silent for us. May we NOT be silent about Him.
I’m praying, church, that we don’t miss the daily opportunities God gives us to boldly share His love without shame.
