When in the process of modern society, when the occasion presents a need for change, whether a performance adjustment, a direction correction, or outright reformation, mankind fails to produce an individual or individuals that possess the necessary credentials, those who, at that time, determine to take upon themselves to choose for the masses, succumb to the temptations of compromise, whether it be a manipulation of established rules, seeking to recreate the image of certain potential leaders in the minds of the masses, or to, through fear of outright failure, or loss of control or power, decline into methods and orders of manufacturing and promoting outright mistruths and/or specific lies. It is particularly important, during such times of social decline, that true people of faith lay aside regular routines and daily tasks to determine to seek the fellowship and leadership of the Spirit of God in order that they discover the true path to God’s chosen and determined destiny for the whole of the masses. For the masses to fail, in such a season, to seek the face and will of God, is to voluntarily neglect the protection of God’s sovereign oversight and to allow the mere actions of mortal man the opportunity to plunge an entire society into unnecessary chaos (ref.: Psalm 50:15).
Prayer to consider: “Almighty God, our Father, call us to thy presence, by Your Holy Spirit, that, in the closeness of Your fellowship, we may see, understand, and determine to follow, Your divine direction for this season in our journey, in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Life Notes
At Eventide

Going Forward, two very important considerations: 1) Draw closer to God, in purpose and relationship, because He deserves it and the believer desperately needs the closeness, and; 2) Draw closer to God, because the believer, without a genuine closeness with God, is really not properly prepared, and is not going to find little comfort in the world into which we are rushing. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance” (ref.: Psalm 33:12).
Prayer to consider: “Heavenly Father, look upon us and stir our hearts, as a people, as a nation, to draw closer to You with hearts open to the leading of Your Holy Spirit, for we are a nation in need of Your visitation. Our generation, our world, is desperate to experience the Living God, and we pray for Your presence in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Life Notes
At Eventide

When man comes to an age that he begins to determine his path, that path seems plenteous of time and full of inspiration and adventure, but so soon this intrigue is swallowed as by the length of a breath, for, as the crown grows gray and the step begins to falter, the passage of days remaining, appear and are gone, as the sights of one’s surroundings from the seat upon a carrousel (ref.: Psalm 90:10).
Prayer to consider: “Almighty God, help me this day to reconcile my struggles to Your greater plan and purpose, forgetting the past and not allowing the intrigue of the future to sway me from the marvelous opportunities of today in Your fellowship. Grant this, Lord, I Pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.” (July 4, 2024)
