Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church was formally organized by the Abington Presbytery 206 years ago today. There were 20 charter members and 3 original elders, made up of area pioneers, local businessmen and farmers. Many names that are legendary in Kingsport, such as Cloud and Netherland. The church has lasted through the years as a staple of the community. Countless souls have found their faith in our walls, and our steeple remains a beacon on the hill overlooking Kingsport. Over the decades, we have been the home church and starting point for generations of Christians who have gone to do Christ’s work in the community and beyond.

We invite you to join our congregation in celebrating this anniversary on Sunday morning at 11am with dinner to follow!

Hello everyone. Just want to let you know we are planning on celebrating our 206th anniversary this coming May 24th. We will recognize our history, (and of course, ring the bell at 11:00) and have a covered dish lunch following the service. Yes, we are small in number but large in faith, and look forward to the event. Please consider yourself invited. We will also have Facebook church for those who can’t be with us.

We will be having Facebook Church and live church at Old Kingsport at 11 on Easter Sunday. And also live church at West Ridge Presbyterian Church at 9:30. (We will be having Holy Communion at both)
