What a blessing it was to gather together for our 2nd Annual Women’s Prayer Breakfast! 💛

Women from 11 different churches came together to worship, pray, share fellowship, and celebrate God’s goodness. The room was filled with encouragement, laughter, meaningful conversations, and a beautiful spirit of unity in Christ. We were especially blessed by Rev. Sandra McElfresh’s message, which spoke to our hearts and reminded us of God’s love, grace, and presence in our lives.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this special morning possible… those who planned, decorated, prepared food, served, prayed, and worked behind the scenes. And a very special thank you to Sally McGrath for her vision, leadership, and countless hours of organization that brought this event to life. We are grateful for each woman who attended and helped make the morning such a joyful celebration of faith and fellowship. 🙏✨💕

Kilmarnock UMC Invites Community to Fourth Annual “Super Summer Sunday Sing” on May 31

Music, fellowship, and summertime fun will once again fill the halls of Kilmarnock United Methodist Church on Sunday, May 31, as the church hosts its fourth “Super Summer Sunday Sing,” affectionately known as “S4.” Inspired by the beloved old-fashioned tradition of “all-day singing and dinner on the grounds,” the event is designed to bring the community together for a full day of worship, music, food, and fellowship.

The celebration begins with KUMC’s 11:00am worship service, continuing the church’s cherished tradition of making every fifth Sunday a hymn sing where worshipers are invited to call out hymns for everyone to sing together. The KUMC choirs and bells will also offer several selections.

Following worship, the community is invited to stay for a picnic lunch at 12:30pm featuring barbecued chicken, baked beans and a variety of potluck-style side dishes. Guests are welcome to bring a favorite side dish or dessert to share. You can eat in the fellowship hall or bring lawn chairs and eat outside.

The afternoon music event begins at 1:30pm and will feature performances by the KUMC Chancel Choir, Brad and Joanie Perry (Alabaster Grace), the Galilee UMC Choir, Ann Thomas, the KUMC Ladies Choir, Destiny Carter, Winston Perry, and the KUMC Handbell Choir. Rev. Chris Watson of Kilmarnock UMC and Rev. Donna Wells Taylor of Galilee UMC will lead the afternoon gathering.

Whether attending worship, joining the hymn sing, sharing a meal, or simply coming to enjoy the music and community spirit, the dress code is very summer casual and all are warmly invited to take part.

The event will be held at Kilmarnock United Methodist Church, located at 89 E. Church Street in Kilmarnock.
