🎃 What a great evening in Kenton!

We were so happy to see everyone who came out for Trunk or Treat tonight! So many awesome costumes, music, food, sweet treats, and lots of jumping and fun on the inflatables!

A big thank you to everyone who helped make tonight possible, from those who decorated trunks and handed out candy to everyone who volunteered and came out to join us!

It was wonderful seeing everyone going back and forth between Kenton UMC and the Town of Kenton's Trunk or Treat! We loved working together to bring our community a fun evening of fellowship!

We hope everyone had as much fun as we did! 🧡

Today was one of those days that reminds me why Homecoming matters.

I am grateful for everybody who helped bring the day together. The choir, worship leaders, those who cooked and brought food, set tables, served, cleaned up, welcomed people, invited family and friends, and stayed to enjoy the fellowship. None of it happens because of one person. It takes a lot of faithful hands.

I am especially thankful for our ASL interpreter. Accessibility is personal for me, and having interpretation available is not just an extra. It is part of making sure people can fully participate in worship and in the life of the church.

One of the things I shared in the sermon was that none of us starts the story of this church. We inherited something from people who prayed, served, sacrificed, taught, sang, cooked, worked, and loved Kenton long before us. Now we get to carry that faith forward.

Homecoming is not just about remembering what was. It is about remembering God’s faithfulness well enough that it changes how we live and serve now. That is when memory becomes mission.

I left today grateful for our history, our fellowship, and our church family.

Thank you for a beautiful Homecoming.
